i doubt i will. because:

a) it looks rather sappy (even given the subject matter) and,

b) oliver stone is really getting on my tits.

nah. how can you put that story to film. soppy, i hope it doesn't involve some crappy love story ala titanic.

I doubt I will, have been in a funk lately have have not beeing going to the movies like I use too.

It's funny: in the States, Oliver Stone movies usually cause a furore of one sort or another (personal fave: "JFK" being described by one critic as "the cinematic equivalent of rape"); over here most people just think they're pretty silly. Not to mention wildly homoerotic.

Hmm i'm not too sure about this one, not really my cuppa tea, and everyone i know who has seen the poster are a bit like 'ermmm oh dear'

I've never noticed any homoerotic overtones in Oliver Stone's work. That's interesting. I'd go look for examples, but that means I'd have to watch those movies again and I really don't consider any of his movies worth a second viewing.

Dont know. Will probably wait for the dvd,i watched Flight 93 and the thing still 5 years on does get to me,i dont know if it upsets,angers me or both. There is a lot of unsettling stuff on YouTube that i think people would be better watching about that day.

I'm amazed at the amount of people who are dismissing it simply because it has Oliver Stone in the director's chair. Whether you agree with his more provacative arguements or not (and I really don't buy the conspiracy theories in JFK), the guy makes interesting films every now and then. From all the advertising I've seen, I doubt he'll show any shots of Dubya and Cheney lighting up some doobies with Osama as the towers collapse (which I imagine is what a lot of conservatives would like to think he'll do).

With that said, I don't know if I'll see it or not. Just depends, really

But this movie will definitely be one of those situations where a lot of pundits on the right shoot the messanger down without even seeing what he has to say, and that's not what freedom of speech is about. That's not what our ancestors fought and bled and died for, to have some jackoff who hasn't got a real opinion of his own that wasn't implanted in him by the GOP taking a shit on a genuinely creative and challenging individual just because he doesn't like his politics.

i wont see any of these 9-11 Movies. the bottom line is no matter how tasteful, well written directed or whatever, they are cashing in the deaths of a few thousands innocent people.

Probably not. I think it's more interesting to see some of the 9-11 documentaries instead.

Apparently, United 93 was very good but I'm not so sure about this one. I don't think it will be controversial though. Oliver Stone really needs a hit after Alexander flopped so badly. And I hate to say it, but if it's a sappy true story of heroism, America will probably eat it up.

did go to FACT to see Kong King though. nice seats & a bar to get ale. Ale cup thingy sat nicely in the arm of the chair too. So, I was up and down like a yo-yo. missed Kongs capture, his stampede thru NYC and where it says "The End". Good film though.

no. I won't see it. I can't put those feelings into that particular context and think it would just be useless to even attempt. Also, I haven't seen a movie in a theater since2001. Can't do it and not even remotely interested.

agree. with all that things happening between israel and lebanon it looks so strange the period of the movie's release. i prefer to wait for CLERKS II - come on Silent Bob

I'm not going to watch it. I'm fed up with the pictures of this sad event. Why has Hollywood to make a movie out of every tragedy? Let the dead rest in peace. I think we saw almost enough real-life-horror pictures of this "attack".

And btw. I can say nothing against Oliver Stone...

I will not see it. I agree with all of the comments of the other people who said they won't see it.

True, but none of those movies were so soon after the fact(though The Deerhunter probably was), and they were all "war" movies. War is hell, going to work in an office building in NYC shouldn't be. Not that innocents didn't die in any of those movies, but you get my point, I think. I guess Platoon and Natural Born Killers (mainly Platoon) are the only Stone films I really like, but it's not like he has a bad enough track record with me that I wouldn't see a movie simply because it's an Oliver Stone film.
