Personally I'd favour Mourinho, he's a proven winner and knows how to handle the media to his advantage too, and it's all water off a duck's back to him. He's got the ego to match the size of the job.
What's Shearer ever won, as player or manager? Hardly a trophy cabinet brimming with anything other than sycophantic comments from pundits!

Harsh comment. Shearer could've won shedloads ... if he'd chosen ManYoo over Newcastle. Ferguson wanted him, of that there's no question. There wasn't a better striker in England at that time.
But he joined his hometown team, the club he supported as a boy.
For that he should be commended.
Football needs more people like that.

Yes, one trophy, yet he is supposedly the messiah to the BBC, who he happens to work for. I'd fookin' join my hometown team for a 500% payrise, even if they were shit and didn't expect to win anything!

I liked the guy who was interviewed outside Weberly last night who said we need someone English like Martin O'Neil.
Seems like a nice way to make a living though - take a job, fuck it up, trouser more money than most people dream of earning in their lifetime.
