Well, that doesn't surprise me. The League Of Gentlemen are in a different league (crap pun intended). Their first TV series was brilliant, the second series was better and I've heard someone who was involved in the making of the third series say that the new one is even better. With a new Alan Partidge series also on the way it looks like the best Pheonix Nights can hope for is the bronze medal for comedy.

Yes i must admit that it took me awhile to understand the first series. When i heard of the link with CHORLEY it ALL fell in place.Love their bizarre comedy but it is extremely CLEVER.Strange comedy series from AMERICA too like SIX FEET UNDER and SCRUBS.But nothing to compare with last nights BLACK ADDER or FAWLTY TOWERS.Also love BOTTOM(watch it:D)The FAST SHOW and TRIGGER HAPPY also. The thing with DOM JOLLY is the music is BRILLIANT too!
Cheers and please only answer in more than a THOUSAND WORDS
as i love your quality insights FINGERS.

This particular pic was taken near Eastbourne by me mate Ribsy who had the camera at the time (I was walking away to look for somewhere to have a slash) - we later ended up at this really crap service area comin' back, and Jimmo's bike had broken down, so we had to dick around for ages before we could continue on our way back home...!
But you're right - those earlier covers are absolute classics aren't hey? ![]()
(I have to let you in on a wee secret now - that earlier pic of me HAS made its way onto some Skinhead/Scooterist websites - only cos one of the cool ska/ oi! fans I knew from Maryland (US) who had a brilliant site at the time, wanted more Brit skins to send them some pics of themselves - so Charley persuaded me to hand them a couple!)

Yes there was some funny bits KEZ but not quite as many... "COME AND GET YOUR BLACK BIN BAGS,OFFER ENDS DECEMBER" The corn beef one was even funnier but i laughed that loud i missed most of it. The tour de force was the ENTRANCE Brian made as he entered the burnt out club to the Bonanza Theme tune.Nicked all his mates ideas...plus the torch/spotlight was a little jem. GARLIC BREAD.:D
Bollocks. Missed it. Impromptu Stella frenzy last night. Ouch.
Dunno if everyone knows but the great man's doing a live tour later this year. I've got tickets to see him in Hammersmith, Xmas week. Bloody ages away!
Oh yes! Am going to see him on my birthday at the Lowry Centre, then again later in December with the Livster! Have already seen him three times, and each time I laughed so much my jaw ached ![]()
Last time I saw him in Newcastle, he asked if I was alright coz I was laughing longer and louder than everyone else ![]()
