all it takes is one racist old biddy and the government falls. he should've given it her with both barrels"listen love, Poles are grafters from the EU, it was Clinton selling mansions to poor black people that fucked up the economy and no wonder kids go on the rampage when all there is to do in Rochdale is eating a pastie next to some bronze sheep".

Now that IS political correctness gone mad....you can no longer call a hated filled old bag a racist....she's ideologically challenged.

Said it before and I'll say it again.....when people say "I'm not racist, but immigration annoys me" they're lying.....cos they DON'T mean we send all the brown coloured people from whence they came and then accept all the white scum we've exported to their countries back (which is what would be demmanded if migration really WAS their issue.....they mean send darkie home to a country full of white people.

Total number of foreigners in the UK approx 6m

that's the same number of "british"[1] we'd have to accept back FROM FRANCE ALONE!!!!!!!!! Add in HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS from the USA, Australia, Canada and various unfortunate African states, and suddenly we've no room to breathe.....but if you don't like immigration, and you do not hold this opinion because you're a little nazi who judges folks on their reflected spectra, then this is the only possible outcome.

[1]unless they speak welsh, cornish or scots/irish they're a fucking foreigner anyway....halfbreed viking froggies.

PS: Has anyone seen this woman's exact words reproduced anywhere? strangely I can't seem to find them, but the following are somewhat telling.... "she discussed immigration" "she claimms he misunderstood some of her words"

Hmmmm, like "nigger", "paki", "roundup" and "shot" I'd wager.

I think Mr Brown is trying to make out that he thought she'd said "where are they fucking from?" instead of "where are they flocking from?".

But I don't believe him.

hmmm.... She basically said nothing out of order at all, just was clearly a bit more intelligent and challenging than Mr Brown's aides had anticipated. Big foot in mouth this one.

Just heard Matthew Parris on radio excuse Mr Brown as saying 'politicians meet bigots all the time'. Parris appears to have not seen the interview and made the same faux pas.

Complaining about them coming here, but not about us going there is as racist as you can get.

What a wonderful post.

Cambo's made me laugh out loud as well. Ideologically challenged indeed.

This non-event summarises most of the reasons why I hate politics and the media in this country so much. Gordon very sweetly answered each one of the lady's questions, despite them being shallow and hostile. All he did then, in his way, was questioning his aides about why they allowed her to approach him.

The stump should be about intelligent debate with the electorate, not being bullied in the street by someone with an angry racist who doesn't want to pay her taxes.

And what was Sky News's role in this? Broadcasting the recordings, telling the lady what Gordon had said then ganging up on her in the street, trying to make her cry for the cameras. I wonder if they'd reacted with the same enthusiasm if they had something on their boy Cameron? Doubt it.

Just like Prescott's punch, this has made me think more highly of Gordon, if despairing of the chances that he, or anyone else, will ever be permitted to run this country sensibly ever again.

What did she say that was intelligent? She was just haranguing him with her shallow opinions and refused to listen to his answers.

I'm sure his aides would love to find someone with something intelligent to say. Sadly, most intelligent people realised a long time ago that all the serious thought went from politics a long time ago.

Well, quite. And after being bullied by an angry racist 'voter', Gordy then gets bullied by his own PR 'people':

"Look, you braindead Scottish cunt, just keep putting your fat fucking head in your fat fucking hands and looking like you're going to fry fat lardy fucking tears..."

Never confuse the shite I talk with the shite I believe.

Though there ARE far far more of "us" in "their" lands than vice versa, so nobody has any grounds to complain about the bare fact of immigration, end of.

Did this definately happen in Rochdale and not "The Village" look at the woman in the white "Prisoner" style jacket, she's a female number 2

Having finished "It's your funeral" about 5 mins ago, I gotta say yyyyyyyup.

(Had to watch real prisoner to wash away the bad taste the new one left.....he tells someone why he resigned in Ep02, and there's a fucking happy ending.....good show certainly.....prisoner, yer ma!)

Britain IS the fucking village, cammeras everywhere, and don't forget where the first Leisure Centre was.....yup The Village, and we borrowed the term for the "real" world.

Be seeing you.

Bit of artistic license there, Paulo? I read reports of the encounter in a few different newspapers and the exchange between her and Gord was reasonably amicable, in fact she apparently walked away saying she was going to vote Labour. I see Prezza in The Grauniad is trying to spin it into a Murdoch conspiracy but it isn't really is it? If I were Gord I'd be giving my aides (another) bollocking for not making sure the microphone wasn't there.

Totally agree the media are despicable though. Each side of the political spectrum's lackeys in this election campaign from the Left's Daily Mirror (and lately The Grauniad - Polly Toynbee is foaming-at-the-mouth unhinged) to the Right's The Sun/Daily Fail have been fucking atrocious with bias and treating their readership like complete morons. Every single journo piece has a nasty agenda bubbling underneath it. Has it always been this bad or am I just noticing it more?

Fradders your post is Tucker-tasticly brilliant.

Speaking as an objective outsider, yous are right, they ARE all cunts, and it IS all just some cartoon nightmare that's replaced standing on policies.

Was it ever any better? Possibly prior to TV.

I wasn't saying she was brainbox of Britain, simply that she wasn't exactly the dumbed down person (and Labour voter) that the average politician ideally wants to talk to on live TV. I didn't find her concerns or opinions shallow either; pretty much representative of the gripes of the average person.

I do like how everyone complains about politcians lying, and 'spin' and what not, and as soon as someone tells the truth, there's a big furore.

...which has been the problem from the outset. Brown was touted as the anti-Blair: an old-school, devoutly Leftist politician who wasn't interested in spin. Sounds fantastic, until you remember that you simply cannot to that in the 21st Century. So, Brown (who loathes PR shite as much because he's shit at it as for ideological reasons) gets pilloried because he's not very good with the media....er, even though we all knew that from the start and that's effectively how he was sold to us.

Then, for me, he digs his own grave. I have no issue with him briefly slagging off the old battleaxe who whined about 'foreigners' (in fact, didn't he do as Cambo suggested and told her there are as many UK expats in Europe as their are continentals in the UK?). The problem is he then whinges because his 'people' didn't "keep her away from him", thus selling what's left of his anti-spin credibility down the fucking shitter.

Sounds like Gordon had a normal reaction, just maybe sounded too bitchy cause he was complaining that his aides let her talk to him. She did sound like just another middle aged woman whiny about everything and blaming the immigrants. She prolly would have been bitching about the weather and the traffic lights if he had talked longer with her.

Brown's a leftie?

Ahhhh yes cos he pulled our cock out of the arse of america's latest attacks on defenceless nations back in.... then he nationalised the railways and steel in...... And don't forget how he added a 20% of private healthcare to help find the NHS. He's a tory They're ALL tories Privatise, suck off the rich, sell Britain.

And Burt....as I said anyone complaining about migration in one direction is basically a nazi......"they can't come to our country but we've every right to go to theirs and do what we like.....after all, we're the superior race here" seems to be the attitude.

PS: it;s not "as many brits on the continent as continentals in the UK"....it's as many Brits in just France (6m) as there are foreigners from every nation put together in the UK. So after we "send darkie home", we'll be just as full after we take back the trash we sent to france.....with over 170 countries worth still to find roomm for.

i) I said he was "touted as" a Leftist, Steve. Whether you, or I, or anyone else likes it or not, the vast majority of the voting public do not want 'socialism' - it's the word ALL the parties are scared of. Nor are folk particularly fussed about the British presence within the Middle East, regardless of how "unpopular" said occupation supposedly is. People are much angrier about Jedward or where John Terry puts his cock or their flights being disrupted by volcanoes than they are the hundreds of thousands dead in Iraq and Afghanistan. Neoliberal consensus, innit.

ii) I do not for one minute believe there are "six million" Brits living in France - are you lumping together rich cunts with holiday homes and people who work over there for a percentage of the year in that figure??!

iii) That old soapbox of your must be getting a bit worn out by now, Cambo....

Tis true.

EDIT: actually the figures I can find now, still have us as a net exporter within Europe, but not by anything like as much.

Now I'll have to troll my brain for the original source.

Britain cannot cope anymore with the mass influx of folk.(it is after all a very small island) Schools, hospitals, and housing doesn't have the resourses. It's NOT racist to say this.

Enjoy Labours last week in charge , you nonsense talking leftie

Erm, lay off the skunk Cambo. I don't think I've read anyone who's expressed an opinion on immigration ever utter the words "we should have the right to go to their country and do what we like". If someone did then they're a class A knob. As for your average UK citizen not being concerned about the influx of Brits into other countries... why should they? I'm certainly not. Similarly, I wouldn't expect a citizen of France, Germany or Poland to give a toss about the amount of their citizens that come into the UK to live and work.

A UK citizen has zero political or real control over other countries border controls so even if someone were to stand on their soapbox as you do about Brits going abroad, it would do precisely fuck all. Besides most other countries - notably the US - have implemented a pretty strict immigration policy. Impossible to get in there these days.

Naturally, people who are vehemently pure anti-Immigration and obvious racists a'la the BNP are scum but to be honest the far left reactionaries who brand anyone a "nazi" or "racist" for simply bringing up the "I" word are equally as tedious. There doesn't seem to be a middle ground

I think to be fair to Labour they have recently (finally) put a reasonable cap on immigration figures but it's probably too little too late for some voters...
