Aye, will do. Won't the British contingent all end up getting aled up together anyhows? I'm sure we won't be able to miss each other, Brits abroad and all that...

There'll be a British contingent AND a Scottish contingent (including one particularly interesting surprise guest).... And then there'll be Shug.

Who arrives in time for the Chapions League Final? I know Shug's missing it. My flight lands at 2PM on Weds.

Mystery Guest?

I am intrigued. Jarvo, Hibster and Hibster's Pal are all on the same flight as me, so we all miss the European Final. I think DoN arrives about the same time on a different flight with Johnny Giles.

Could it be the fabled J******* S****??? Failing that, it must be that Curtis fella who's been hiding away all these years...

Yeah, I've got it. Melody Maker, I think, end of 1986. I'd scanned it for this site years ago but the find option here is gone so can't find the thread. Unless anyone beats me to it I'll post it up towards the end of the week cos I'm out for the next three nights.

:) Cost me an extra £60 to change my flight from 18.45 to 13.45 out of Luton on 25th so I'll be holed up in a bar by the time Rafa's boys kick off :bow2:

While I'm the first person to look down my bourgeiose nose at folk who go to Irish bars in exotic foreign cities I reckon this gaff....

....is as good a place as any for meeting up in a big group. Just off the Ramblas, easy to find and with a massive projector screen for the footie (watched Celtic v Barca there last year) it's as good a place as any.

If it's someting a bit more refined you're after I shall be dining in El Pebre Blau (doon a lane in El Born) on the Thursday. It's a top gaff with amazing food. Feel free to bring a fat wallet and join us!

Irish bars anywhere in the world = naff, and that includes Ireland! Always puzzles me why the Glasgow ones are actually full of Irish folk! My ex's pals used to come over from her home town (Limavady) regularly and couldn't see past a night out in O'Neill's. What's that all about?!!!!!

 The FIRST place I look for is an Irish Bar! Ya basta's. Even found one in Venice, and when me and DoN went New York we found a cracking one on our first day and literally set up base there for the week :D

Does anyone know if the Good Doctor will be hosting festivities for the forthcoming European dates? Recently he's become as much of a part of the set-up as Barney's idiosyncratic dancing....

Dunno, he wasn't in the States but then apparently he never flies anyways, so even some of the European dates might be too far afield for him.

As a point of note, Tony Wilson introduced Gang of Four at Coachella, who were on before New Order, but didn't appear to introduce the Order themselves!

And do we have a meeting point for Thursday?? I don't get in until late on the Weds (and then have to negotiate the red light district, apparently), but is there a pre-arranged meeting point for the opening of the festival, or is it simply "spot the lairy Brits and you'll be fine"??

Just sent my mobile number to yer email address, not quite sure what the plan is yet, on Thursday a few of us are doing a tour, Nou Camp etc... Yer quite welcome to come along, then there's that posh meal thing the G-Man has sorted later on in the day. :thumb:
