Yeah, PN's definitely one they should air at some point. The only thing I can think of is they need a slow track to better pace the set. They're getting up there in years...

I know I would have loved to have been able to get the time off from work and flown out...even if it had been the exact same set they played when I saw them in Oakland a month ago...

Shame we never got to meet up. LOADS of regulars from this board there: JG, Mickey Way, Wolfram, Graham GlasVegas, Ness & Greg, Danny Wengorz, Pompey Order, Donato, Shuglet, Hibster, Budvar(!) ... then all the Usual Suspects from Blighty who do gigs but don't post here.
Amazing atmosphere for this one. Loads of Brits over and the Spanish really up for this too. Fcuk knows how, but someone ripped right through my shirt early on: and I don't mean just pulled it apart at the buttons, but proper ripped right through below the shoulder. Defo the sign of a good ruck!
Best gig I've been to in a long time! 
Excellent gig. Hats off to the Spanish/Catalan crowd who played a big part in making the show so enjoyable. The venue and setting were top notch too. A top weekend with top company.

Just fell out of the plane, back from a really great gig! Somehow I managed to get to the second row, jumping around the whole concert ... my bones are still hurting 
Met Danny, but lost him before the gig started, cos he had to leave for some reason (Hope you re-gained a good place).
Actually I didn't hear much of the Order, maybe because the crowd (incl. me) was singing along every single line of the songs, even the new ones, or maybe the sound was too sh... My girl-friend was in the back (where the seats where), and said the sound for the first two or three songs was great but rapidly dropped, so that you almost couldn't here Barney anymore. All I was hearing was a rumbling bass sound, no trebles, really muddy sound (- why don't they hire a professional sound engineer?). But nevertheless definitely the best gig of them I've seen. Still dancing and singing.
Anyone mentioned it? Atmosphere was on the setlist, but not played. Stood next to the guy who fetched the list.
Best time in years for me... I saw all my life while this tunes sounds with the mediterranean sky over us. Thanks to New Order. Thanks to all of you.
One more thing: the concert was NOT in "Poble Espanyol" as the concert browser http://neworderonline.com/Live/Concert.aspx?ConcertID=680 says, it was in "Forum 2004". "Poble Espanyol" is on Montjuic, "Forum 2004" is some kilometres away at the harbour.

Still recovering! Got back yesterday about 2, decided on taking it easy and watching the footy play offs.
What a fucking craic Barca was. When I can be arsed I will right it down properly in that Blog section, unfortunately I never took a camera, so I am relying on the cracking pictures from Al, Ness and Hibster, they have some fucking crackers on their camera's.
To put it shortly, I can remember the GAY BAR, starring in a PORNO with Grahame, Alan, DoN, Al, Al's bird, Johnny Giles, Mickey Way and his missus plus 3 American girls...... Apparently it's broadcast on C4 in September
Drank far too much, also bumped into Big Clive, John and Christine, German Danny and his missus plus Fac100 who's was over from England but rarely posts, I remember standing with a Rangers fan while everyone else buggered off for The Human League, I think his name was Richie, then there was Gary and Gordy, Greg and Ness, Mandy and Sean who were with Hibster, 3 other lads from up North, and a couple from Motherwell. And after several hours we finally bumped into Budvar right at the front of the crowd.
The gig itself was "Shit Hot" we got battered to within an inch right down the front, started off in front of Hooky with Al, Mark, Greg, Ness, Gary, Gordy and Alex and ended up in front of Barney after the first song or two. Being a short arse I held onto DoN for me life. The set has been mentioned, and as I was the soberist I have ever been at a gig, I can actually remember quite a bit of it. The band were ace and so were the fans. I am looking forward to hearing this on a bootleg. I do remember getting told to "Shut the fuck up" by Gary for my terrible singing along during Blue Monday 
The only pity was not meeting up with Frads, dunno what you did with my number mate, cos everyone else had nae bother getting through. I will be in touch for Hyde Park

There must be thousands of pictures as literally everyone (except of me) had a digicam. There was no security check at the entrance so you could sneak everything in... Well, I didn't... was too afraid of being sent back due to my minidisc and camera, fool I am.

Ow, bitchy! They DO have a professional sound engineer! And a top bird she is too. Can't say I'm ever bothered about sound & lights, etc, at a gig cos I probably spend most of it facing the wrong way anyways, but Portugal was tame, to say the least, so went walkabout with the Mrs during HNWYD and noticed how the sound improved as you got closer to the mixing desk. Don't think you're ever gonna get the best results the closer you get to the stage and the more you jump around! You can't pitch a perfect sound across a vast open-air auditorium like that, you're gonna get pockets of hi's and lo's, surely?!

Sorry, no offence intended. I wouldn't have cared about the sound, cos you're certainly right about the sound vs. positioning-relation, and it really doesn't matter that much when you're jumping around and everyone around you is singing (or screaming 
) along . But my Mrs was standing at a point where I would expect the sound to be a bit more brilliant, and she said it was really awful. The first two tracks were sounding great, the rest was getting really sh*** So I suspected that something went wrong.
Anyway, great gig that was! 
Great gig indeed, I think they were in great shape although Barney looks older (Hooky on the other hand is getting younger al the time).
I was later than expected so I could not meet many people beforehand and neither could I understand where Shugster was telling me he was. Anyway I experienced something completely different, a NO concert with only a couple of beers inside. They're still quite good and my pogo was massively improved.
Pity since I would have enjoyed meeting up with more of you lads. Sorry I missed Daniel Wengorz whom I met at the Olympia)
BTW I was proudly sporting my NOOL T-shirt (Mike, if you read this get in touch man )

Yep, I dunno how I managed to miss you all either. You all need to get football tops with yer monickers on like Stash - very helpful when a bit tipsy. Still had a great weekend: fantastic venue, some great bands, cold beer moderately priced (are you hearing this, UK festival organisers?) - couldn't have asked for much more. Oh, and the locals were lovely: all more than willing to come up to me and offer their opinion of the Order. My fave comment: "New Order. They made me cry!" (he meant it in a good way, honest!!)
I will find you fuckers in Hyde Park - you're all eight feet tall and hang out with a short arse in a Celtic top, right?
