I am flying from Brussels to Barna on Friday afetrnoon (God help the airline if they dare reschedule the flight!!!!). So the place is the Irish place off the Ramblas, I know where that is, it is actually quite close to the Fantastic my favourite bar in BCN. But what time will it be? Do you intend to watch Iggy, I quite like the old man but I´ve found that I lost any interest in any other music before or after the Order, so I´d rather have dinner and some beers with you lads.

For those of you who are staying over the weekend I strongly recommend the AGUA, a restaurant looking over the beach. Very nice, not awfully expensive.

Me, Hibster and DoN are staying with Grahame. Frads is coming over, and Jarvo and JG are staying with Alex, plus loads more like Gordy, Ness & Greg et al.

You still have my phone number? If not I will mail you it and you can also text me your whereabouts:thumb:

edit: Just sent you the number to both yahoo and hotmail accounts, unfortunately Rocket and Iain aren't coming over.

I don't get in until late on the Weds (and then have to negotiate the red light district, apparently), but is there a pre-arranged meeting point for the opening of the festival, or is it simply "spot the lairy Brits and you'll be fine"??

Just sent my mobile number to yer email address, not quite sure what the plan is yet, on Thursday a few of us are doing a tour, Nou Camp etc... Yer quite welcome to come along, then there's that posh meal thing the G-Man has sorted later on in the day. :thumb:

Hello all from Barca - I can´t get through to Shug on the number he quoted me, international dialing codes and all: if anyone from the Vikings party reads this please leave an online message about where we can meet up today/tomorrow night. Otherwise Ill see you at the nearest bar to the main stage???

Just sent him a message for you, have you got the right dialling codes? Spain is +34 but there is a City code, Barca is 93, this applies to all mobile calls (I think).

Cheers, pal!

It´s averaging a blissful 25-26 degrees. If it´s anything like this at Hyde Park I´ll be wearing the same shit eating grin I am right now!! Strangely, they don´t seem to be playing the biggest stage, despite them bein the main attraction (according to the bold prnt on the t-shirts anyways). Not that you´ll get any complaints from me, mind. Arcade Fire were great last night: only downer is that the Order virtually clash with American Music Club and Kristin Hersh. Bugger.

I´d like to help out, but I was so pissed I remember next to nothing beyond dancing like a twat and giving it plenty of "New Or-DAH!!!" between songs. Don´t recall any of the much promised golden oldies, though, but that might be a case of beer-erasure....

Oh, and I completely failed to meet up with the Vikings massive, but did bump into Stash. Conversation as follows:

Me: "Alright, mate? Have you seen Al Jarvis about?"

Him: "Who´s Al Jarvis?"

There was then a potentially slanderous comment about cocaine which I won´t repeat. Also attracted the attention of Catalonian TV who filmed me and my flag, for some reason best known only to themselves. Met Mark Eitzel from American Music Club who, as ever, looked like someone had just stolen his favourite toy.

New Or-DAH!!!!

Oh my god, such a boring setlist.

Mr Jarvis reckoned it was the best gig of the year so far and i quote "By a mile". Blighty contingent and the Spanish being Up for it compensating for same old same old with the setlist.

Hrm, they did move True Faith up in the setlist to keep the NRG level going before the ballad...a small change like that probably did quite a bit of good, it seems.

I'd be curious to know what makes it better than the US gigs... :skeptic:
