Well no one's gonna recgnise me anyway as this is only my second post (and yes i do know that i am exceptionally lucky to be going!). I won't be able to get to this meet-up beforehand as I'll be rushing from work. Maybe as we walk in the "Rose Window" entrance to Ally Pally we need to all shout out "Nu Ordah" like a bunch of sheep trying to find each other in the fog. That'll impress the TV people!

By the way how do i get that "personal info" to appear when you click my nickname? (cos my info is fascinating, ahem) and how do i quote people in those blue boxes? This internet business, I dunno.

We'll be easy to spot at the pub; just look for the large gathering of people, some of whom will be wearing NO Tshirts...

I was in the pathetically small standing area at the back of the arena - balcony would be a nice way of describing it. The whole thing was very odd and stilted. The sound was good, barring the drum sound - the drums were uniformly boxy all night.

Nonetheless, it did mark a rarity - with New Order being a fivepiece for the speech and award giving with a foxy looking Gillian - however she didn't perform as Phil did. Barney didn't seem that keen, not as many whoops as usual.

I did try to make it to The Village, but ended up lost in Muswell Hill instead.

Was well worth the trip down to London for this. Had the pleasure of meeting Ricardo again, Chant, Brigitte and all the usual suspects. Didn't matter that we only got Regret and LWTUA (both which sounded really tight, almost professional for New Order!) Had a lump in my throat during the tributes from fellow musicians and felt a real pride that they are finally earning the recognition that they fully deserve. A nice touch from Barney dedicating LWTUA to Ian Curtis. The Vikings tried to create some sort of atmosphere chanting New Ordah as they were receiving their award, i think Dermot O'Leary said something about having Doctor Clayhead thrown out when he interrupted his introduction. :D Cheers to Spotnick for the tickets, an enjoyable night was had by all and we should treasure these moments as there may not be too many more in the future.

Thank you Spotnick for a great evening again. I certainly was not worthy.

Met with Shug, John Sludden, Mickey Way (nice outfit), Big Al and his gal,Beatrice, Chant, Ricardo, Dave Lee, Neil hac must be rebuilt, Hibster, Don, Ness, Wolfman and Johnny Giles...... Old Monkey couldn't make it because of work commitments but still travelled all the way to Wood Green to give me Chant Ricardo and Beatrice of Strasbourg our tickets. Nice one Tim.Thank you

Alex the Red in all his majesty was also in attendance. He looked the smartest I had ever seen him. He even wore a tie. Hibster has photographic evidence.....

The Order was awesome. Couldn't contain myself when John Sims came on. I had to shout NUUUUUUUUU ORDAAAAAAAAAH! as loud as I possibly could interrupting his splendid intro. He took it well and just grinned. Hooky also seemed to be grinning when he got a major shout out before Regret....

The view was the best we could get and I jumped like a loony during their set. Great time.

It was quite awesome for me watching them being inducted alongside Dylan, Hendrix, Floyd, The Who and of course John Peel. To see Ian Curtis up in lights on massive screens sent a real shiver through me. I never thought I wold see the day. It just hit home what a fantastic band they really are and how under rated they are by the plebian masses.

I even met Will from that semi ok tribute cover quartet re orderorsomethingorother with a friend on the way home.

It was a good event in my opinion and I enjoyed nearly all the acts. Chrissy Hynde & Morrisette should be two of the first against the wall come the revolution.....

Smashing time, am on a high. And for once, I wasn't even down the front.
