Gotta say it didnae start to well once we found out where we were stood, but we managed to get 5 rounds at the bar before it closed 
Great to meet up with all the usual suspects.....AGAIN! And also Chant and Brigitte. ATR in a shirt and tie that's gotta be a first, oh and Jarvo looked like a right Gangster in his clobber 
As fer Frads, well done for keeping it real with the Stoke Flag and the first NU ORDAH chant of the evening which shocked all the people in our area, who were all rather conservative - we were the only fans singing and dancing along. Both songs were nailed to perfection.
I'd just like to say that we were a great audience and they were a great band.
Many thanks Nic for the freebie. You don't get that kind of thing every day. After all the boring Slash supergroup "Hendrix tribute" stuff (which will surely be edited tonight), it was nice to have Barney walk on stage promising "No guitar solos". The sound quality was far superior to that of Brixton last week, although it did also higlight the um, imperfections of the vocals. Eurythmics were quite good too actually. Sabbath rocked but alas only one song. And as for the Peel tribute/Buzzcocks band at the end, we got a Hooky bonus, but what the heck was Jamie Cullum doing on stage?? It's all record company promotion b/s I suppose.
As above....it was weird and totally sterile, but the good ship New Order was (hopefully) kept afloat by those in attendance. The sound was bloody pristine, mind, especially for Ally Pally and it's notoriously apalling acoustics.
Keep yer ears our for O'Leary walking across the stage just before he starts the Order intro.....I let rip with the biggest "Neeewwww Orrrrddddaaahhhh!!!! me throat would allow and Dermot begins by saying (something like) "yeah, wait a minute they'll be here soon". I'll be sleeping with him before you know it!
Great to see Gillian again, too!
Edit: belated thanks to both the mighty Danny (Gin Soaked Boy) who took time out to drive to Croydon so I could reclaim my baby; and to the equally mighty Allen Jarvis for letting me crash at his place. Cheers, lads!!
Many thanks to Nicolas for getting the tickets and to Tim, who interrupted his work to bring the tickets to me, Chant, Brigitte and Jim. It was a shame that you couldn't made it. Special thanks to Mark for the taxi.
Another top night. It was so funny to see the NOOLers smart casually dressed, specially Alex wearing a tie. I also have photographic evidence. 
I don't mind that they played only two songs. New Order were great and Hooky playing with the Peel tribute band was a nice bonus. It's something that I will never forget.
I have to admit that I enjoyed some of the other live acts. The original lineup of Black Sabbath were indeed amazing (what a weird thing to say in a New Order forum).
See you all again in another New Order gig.
Can anyone let me know whereabouts NO were in the runn ing order? Really don't want to have to sit through all the crumblies...

Fourth, I think - after Eurythmics, Hendrix (or Slash wanking off) and the Kinks.....but it was all so boring before the Order came on I'm not exactly sure. In fact, none of could fucking remember a few hours later in the curry house - and we were all sober!!

Got a nice treat from Mr King in the cab on the way back - Barney's plectrum! Thanks Nick, will sit nicely with my drumstick. About a half hour later, I realised how highly amusing it was that it landed on your shoulder at the gig!
First off, BIG THANKS TO AL JARVIS to giving me and Dave his seated tix that he paid for!!
Good to see crew at the meet-up before hand even with the venue change..Ally Pally looked huge and I thought the sound would suck but it was actually really good..thought there would be free booze but alas, there was not
Didn't care much for most of the other acts although most were alright..me and Dave we near the back of the seated stands but had a direct view of the stage..look for my mint green shirt on the telly !
Heard a few "Nu Ordahs" just as they were announced and we gave them a standing ovation..Regret was good but I thought Barney mumbled through LWTUA..perhaps he didn't get his usual large screen telepromter 
Good to see Gillian up there on stage..but was hoping she'd play too..saw Serge in the seats too
Left just after and missed the Peel induction but had a great night overall..can't wait til next year's awards when DEPECHE get inducted :D

Incidentally, after ignoring Allen's advice about buses this morning, I thought I'd have a wander around north London given that it was such a beautiful day (cold & crisp, no wind, blue skies, leaves all turning golden....absolutely my favourite time of year). So I strolled around Crouch End & Muswell Hill happy as Larry....y'know (and I never thought I'd say this) I think I could quite happily live there. Nice bit of the world.....

Actually I learnt about that during a United midweek game, it flashed up on the scoreboard and the Stretford End cheered.
Looking back, that wasnt very cool. But then again, apart from New Order, who was cool in the '80s?
Oh and yes, I know I've set myself up for some 'anti United quips' from you funny boys.

Well, just watched it on Channel 4. They obviously edited out my NUUU ORDAH during John Sims intro but they couldn't fucking edit out my very best NEW ORDAARGHHHHH! between songs which was echoed by the NOOLs to my right!!!!!
Immortalised now. I can now go to my grave a happy man. A stupid but very happy man.

I spoke to Andy Rob earlier, and he sounded rather chuffed/touched that New Order had a 'prescence' in the audience as, for anywhere who was there knows, no other band appeared to have the fanbase.
The only other 'shout outs' you got all night were for fcuking 'Onetel'!
all theyre talking about on the bbc website is friggin pink floyd, and why there not getting back together, blah, blah blah, thought the performance was brill watching it on tv. never went to it, used up all the money going to brixton and hyde park. it would be nice if they went on tour next year, one joy division song they havent done for ages is "sister ray". also, very strange is lack of tribute from u2's bono for joy division
