Right, after some thinking and discussions with the other London-based band, it's gonna have to be held on the Saturday 15th April if it is in Manchester. It ain't feasible for the bands to be travelling back overnight after the gig if it is on the Monday - we all have work on Tuesday!

Sounds much better to me too! (by the way, my kids want to know if they are 'allowed' to come, or is it strictly adults only? - they are 12/15 respt).

Bless. My son, given the chance, would be there in a flash. he's only 5, but, that kid knows nearly every word to No/JD songs. It's amazing.

The first thing he asks me for hen we get to the car, is what NO/JD song he wants! Today, he fell asleep in the back of the car, Temptation was on, and he was singing the words in his sleep! Hoe cool is that????

Love the fact that when we go round Tesco's, he sings LWTUA, at the top of his voice, screaming, C'mon, just like hooky and barney do:) Do get loads of nasty looks though.

We need an "all NOOLers" welcome thing up on DR....Bonzette, I believe was under the impression it was invite only rather than NOOL-login only....if such a clever lady (still paying for the image tag thing Bonzababes) can think that...well...consider that like only 1% of the membership are even foum literate :)

Anyway, a full announcemt on the front page of the site would be bad before things are finalized....but a "your pissed up shitbag NOOLsiblings need YOU" would be good on DR.

The 'ardcore are based in London, without them we couldnt do a NOOL day, it's the best city in the world, let's use it.

So we've gone from half way sorted to totally back to sq 1 then.

I can't afford London...20 times the airfair (actually MUCH more..and getting to that cunt of an international airport in the arse end of nowhere)...10 timse everything else.

but i don't care....wake me up and let me know when you're all done with the headless chicken thing.....and i will be there.

How typically NO this is turning out to be.

Air fare from London to Northeren Ireland is VERY expensive. It's cheaper to go to Europe! I'm going to be in Northern Ireland-again in Januray, so i know how expensive it is!

I think keeping the event "in the middle" somewhere is a much better idea, seeing as i'm invited:D , sorry Steve for not being my usual intelligent self. It's not entirely clear though. When it is finalised, defo have a new post that details everything, and who is welcome.

Bollocks - this is just people jumping in at the deep end and making assumptions. If that's the way you want it then fair enough. I'm still working on the principle that it will be in Manchester, but on the Saturday rather than the Monday. You won't have either Re: Order or Digital playing if it is the Monday, and nobody from London will bother attending either.

But if it's headless chicken shit you want, I suggest that those who want to hijack this and go off on theor own tangents feel free to do so.

Me....i'm gonna go hide and shut up until there's something needing talked about that's my place to talk about (this is a new tactic for me....but it's the only way to not fuck all this up :D )

I've now been told that my supposedly horrific drug therapy will begin at the end of Feb....so I have no dea what state I will be in, could be totally sweet, could look like a Dr Who monster (more than usual i mean). Even if it IS really horrible.....it may be that a day or two each side of NOOL day as a little pill holiday....would enable me to party and drink.

But I cannot see it preventing me from making it and being able to do the needful. And if that's gonna change I'll know by about the 2nd week of march, so not eactly last minute.

But I'm missing manc aid to make it to this, i WILL be there :D

Hiya folks! Is Jabez Clegg set in stone at the moment? It seems to be up in the air whether they can book for Easter Saturday or not. Only reason I ask is that I know a club in Manchester off Deansgate,near Teasers,where I've DJed a birthday party recently. I've just been talking to the boss there about whether we could have reduced room hire for a charity gig on Easter saturday..... Upstairs we could have for FREE!! Upstairs floor holds about 270 people. He's provisionally booked it till I find out where we're up to.

Officer thinking...good backup plan (that may find itself as plan A soon enough....who knows) :D

AND you know the venue which is handy :)

It's called "14 LLOYD STREET". Lloyd Street being the road leading up from Deansgate up to Albert Square.It's facing the Rising Sun,and it's well smart inside! It's free,but I said hold it for us and I'll let him know in a couple of weeks if we don't need it.

Good man! Can you go ahead and book it please, but get me the contact details of the gaffer etc. We'll need to know what they have in terms of stage, PA availability, various bar promotions etc.

Obviously we'd have to downsize the scale of everything from a 500 cap to a 270 cap, but that would give us a lot more chance of a full house! I'll have to speak to Re: Order to see if they are prepared to do a Saturday gig now. Can't speak for the rest of Digital, but I will be there, doing a solo set if required.

Makes a lot more sense to do the Saturday rather than the Monday - when I'm back home after the few days with the outlaws in rather restricted net access, I should be able to pick up the cudgels and get things moving again.

Cheers - we're gonna need venue with stage and suitable for bands to play, preferably with a dressing room. Something that is just a dancefloor ain't gonna be any use to us, unfortunately.
