We're introducting a new statistic as of today.. it's called the Post/Logon Ratio, which means, the amount of post you do per logon... it gives interesting statistic (for people who like it), but unfortunatly for now, people with less logon appears in the list.. (which is why you might see people you've never heard of in the list!)

The function, with details, can be seen on the NewOrderOnline > Statistics > Top 20 menu..

So as of today, the stats are:

Top 20 Posts

1 Huntsman 1314 2 Buster Klumpy 830 3 Patrick Smith 722 4 Martin Gray 635 5 Muffy 627 6 Seb Briggs 502 7 Taboo # 7 453 8 Liv 426 9 Fac21 376 10 chris p 346 11 Allen Jarvis 311 12 Jeff White 307 13 Hank Wiseass© 282 14 April 215 15 Sophisticated (Lady) 189 16 brian geoghagan 189 17 velocity girl 177 18 Marco Pleil 161 19 Hooky Monster 157 20 Shug 148

Top 20 Post/Logon Ratio

I guess it's not that bad.. if you follow this, Taboo #7 is posting 3.974 messages per login.. which is quite good.

And congratulation to Klumpy.. who just passed both webmasters in terms of posts on this forum.. he's heading dangerously to the 1000.. and congratulations to Huntsman who almost have more posts than both webmasters together :D

Thanks, Nic. I think indeed the 1000 are not that far away... But who knows ?

It's true that, posting on two forums helps... :D

But I'm quite proud to have put Belgium on the map like that. Who would have thought the 2nd biggest poster would come from fucking Belgium ?

JEEZUS!! I'm number four and number two?

Well blow me! And to think I did seriously consider packing my bags at one point for some unfathomable reason.

However, I don't know if anyone here would miss me if I DID go though.....

And, more mind bogglingly still, I can't believe my mate Stuart got in there at number 12 as well, considering he's not even a New Order fan. How dare he!!! I'm going to have to have a stern word with him (he only posted in to take the piss out of me anyway)

Well, I'd miss you, Martin, really...

oooh, my first appearance in the stats. How about getting me to number one by having the top ten people with 'major key' in their name?

Or the top ten who've bought Hooky?

For your enlightenment I'd better explain this: you may have been previously unaware of it. Number 12 on the second list is a chap named MARTIN COPPER. I can tell you now that this guy is categorically NOT Martin Copper, but a mate of mine with whom we both did a fanzine called "TREADMILL" back in the late 80's early 90's, by the REAL name of STUART WALSH. He thought it would be a bit of a joke to send in a few posts using MY old pen name I used when I used to write for said fanzine. How witty of him! Now, Stu is probably the biggest shit-stirring prankster I have ever known - the things he used to ask bands - and the things he used to suggest they do just for his own gratification - would make you blanch in horror (are you reading this Geoffroy K??). For example, when he interviewed THE FARM (useless Scouse chancers who jumped on the Baggy bandwagon during 1990-1 and made some bewilderingly successful blocked-sinus whiney anthems in the process, and even desecrated a HUMAN LEAGUE song later on) he suggested Peter Hooton tell three of his colleagues to turn their backs to him as the asked them questions, cos they were such ugly bastards (he REALLY DID say this to Peter Hooton), causing the bemused singer offence to the extent that Mr Hooton even offered him outside for fisticuffs. Ha ha, what fun days they were.... If the FARM got off lightly, spare a thought for his demolition job on Richard Ashcroft of (The ) Verve just when the band were about to bring out their first album. In fact that article was SO extremely gratuitous, I've no desire to repeat any of Stu's quotes here....sometimes you have to be careful, you know!!

So Dave, that's the lowdown on "Martin Copper" for you, Cheers!

The REAL person formerly known as Martin Copper

Yes, I'm reading, Martin.

I've never been the confrontational type in interviews.

But this Stuart really was a crazy bastard.

I'd like to read the story about The Verve...

You would? Really? Blimey, if I could get hold of it now....! It's so evil! Short Sharp and Twisted! Stu was certainly fearless, it's kind of sad that it's almost 9 years since "Treadmill" was put on ice - some of his ramblings within are truly unhinged to say the least. He's too busy to do it these days, with family and that.. Mind you, some of our fanzines were really difficult to get hold of because we only produced so very few copies. It wasn't a big commitment for us but we poured our hearts into every one of the few copies we produced : my other titles included "Jumping The Gun", "Bullshitz" (a play on the word "Colditz" obviously), "A6" - which was a travel-related music review edition - and "Bed Of Nails" which featured lots of my mates and their friends doing nothing but just taking the mickey - this eventually became "The Palace Of Bollocks" [which is like "Private Eye" only far more infantile and surreal and meaningless]. Funny to say, "P.O.B" still exists in name today, but nothing has been produced for nearly six years......and you think New Order's gaps between records get longer!!!

Anyway, if I can find you a copy of Stuart's Verve piece (I certainly don't call it an "interview" more like a character assassination...) I will find a way of getting it sent to you. Cheers for the interest BK!! :)

You're welcome, Martin.

It would be with the greatest joy that I would read this. You how men are always fascinated by people doing things they would be incapable of (like confrontation in an interview).

Hey Buster, you're a journalist, right? Ever interview John Lydon? just curious, seeing as every interview he does seems to be confrontational...

Where have you been lately Tabs?? What a delight to have you back again.

You keep disappearing on/off lately, haven't you? You should have joined us in Amsterdam - 'cos that was where I was posting from up until this morning any way. Lots of fun. Great Place. Cool vibes maaaaan. (:smoking:)

The uncle whose computer I usually bummed off of moved out, and I've been sporadically visiting from the local library and my mom's. Not enough dough for my own (sad, I know). Sorry if anyone thought I had left in a tizzy and no longer felt like contributing....

Someone who does seem to have disappeared is Facsy.
