Wasn't this when someone (perhaps Lydon) referred to the New Order US tour bus as a "drug ambulence"? Heady days.

so, basically : everything bar smack! I can imagine mrs hook and sumner being pretty dedicated to drugs, but not the other two. although, steve always looks quite skinny!
1 more question: being irish, and 21 , what is draw?

De weed!

Maybe cigarrettes and manic drumming had a lot to do with that ![]()
Originally posted by Ronald Kirsch I was having a dig at his impaired memory (possibly/probably drug induced).
The theory the mate of mine who insists all the songs are about drugs has over that one is that Regret is about cannibis-induced memory loss... and not really giving a toss about it either
Gillian was the most hardcore of the bunch, don't be fooled by her low profile... she made the Happy Mondays look like accountants ![]()
Amphetamines influenced their work, speed in the early years, barbiturates did Ian's head mixed with drugs and alcohol... they said they didn't end like the Mondays cos they never touched heroin.
Originally posted by depthcharge Hooky was certainly enjoying a glass of Australian white of some description during the CD signing at Humm Records, Sydney. Reports of his non-drinking are seemingly greatly exaggerated.Second-hand intel from a model acquaintance said that coke was all over the hotel room in Perth after the 2002 BDO show. Kind of undermined Barney's supposed dedication to a new and healthy 40's lifestyle (all that "jogging and sailing"), but... it was the end of the tour, right! ;):\pimp3:
I remember them drinking wine too. Steve looked a bit sozzled or was it sunburnt? Hooky was a gem - picked up my baby daughter, gave her a kiss
And a mate of mine with a somewhat nefarious occupation was asked to procure a certain powder for a certain band member. Met at the Paddington Inn - I was gonna go and say hello but thought I'd let him enjoy his night without some sad git bothering him
