I cannot accept this award. :cry: In truth it would have been 1987 at the time of TF. Although I cannot narrow it down to a particular day I do know the exact spot where it happened. It was while waiting to turn right at the traffic lights on Angouleme Way into Haymarket in Bury. I then immediately drove past the Derby Hall, the scene of the JD riot.

I had no chance then. A mere 13. First went in '85 around the time Letter To Brezhnev was being filmed.

I've never been, got as far as the queue one time. Seem to recall is was about a tenner to get in and one or more of our party flinched, it was excessive for the time.

Same here although I did hear Temptation and Atmosphere before then and quite liked them but Blue Monday was the one that caused me to start purchasing.

Crimony, you guys are old. :D Seriously, I wish I'd been alive when BM was first released, just to witness the impact it had on the dance scene. That, and 1983 was a great year for music.

I had a Scouse mate I used to work with years back.

He was a couple of years younger than me and had said he'd seen NO in Liverpool. Always assumed it was the Royal Court thing, but then one day it came out it was the State. I was, like, how old were you? And he just went, twelve!

Imagine a twelve year old at such a gig now? Beggars belief!

Tried to get tickets for Indians In Moscow around that time, at I think The Bier Kellar. They weren't having any of it. I was gutted as the singer was fit with a very ample bussom.

Speaking of Liverpool gigs, I used to have one on tape. Lost it years ago, it had loads of er, politcally incorrect songs targeted towards Manchester United. Anyone know which one it was?
