Shug, did you read about the young lad (just 16) from the UYM (Ulster Young Militants?) who blew himself up a couple of weeks back with a home-made bomb in Northern Ireland. Had the usual Protestant paraphernalia at his funeral, wreaths from the UDA, from the UVF, UFF, etc.

And he was buried in a CELTIC kit!

Apparently, he thought sport and politics shouldn't mix.

One of the weirdest tales I've heard in a long time!

El Jarvo... watch out for Boro's Carlos Marinelli... he is utter genius. I'm a Boro fan but not overtly, I realise that they're mostly pap but occassionaly some quality gets through. Having seen Gazza in his prime, Beckham also... Shearer, Joseph Cole etc. etc. I tell you this guy is going to be big... better, possibly, than some of the aformentioned. (nothing beats Gazza though)

You heard it here first.

Tenner says you can't keep hold of him. He'll do an Emerson and run a mile to warmer climes! I hear La Coruna is nice this time of year.

Either that, or Incey Wincey will put his knee-cap out in an over exuberant tackle during training. This, after Marinelli's just nutmegged him.

Well maybe that would be a good think Zarvox... I would hate to see him dwindle in the lower part of the Premier soup for too long. All I'm really saying from footy fan to footy fan is keep an eye out for him if your the type that appreciates the skillful football fella.

Never been a big fan of Ince... overrated in my opinion. Now Juninho... well, that's another story.

Gazza World Cup '90. Probably on par with Maradona '86 as the best player I've ever seen.

I always mention this,I probably have here but just incase. I, that is me Hank Wiseass have lifted THE European Cup not any imitation, not the European Champions League Trophy or whatever it's called now, THE actual original one by Liverpool won on four occasions.Which is prize enough in itself.

 this is a bit of a sore point with me,I admit he never really captured the form he showed at Anfield. But he never gave the ball away(while some colleagues earned praise running into blind allleys), made the often poor passes of his inferior team mates look good with his ability to control all the over hit ones.On the whole he was ahead of his time at intenational level IMHO.The controlled, patient passing game he was suited to was in contrast to the up and at em,attack ten times with no forethought and constantly being picked off by any decent side we came up against tactics.Anyone agree?

John Barnes was better at football than rapping.

If we're talking young hotshot talent, then Bobby Zamora has scored seven times in seven games for Brighton. Spurs and Southampton are after him, allegedly.

Me too Hanky Panky, December 81 when the 'Red Shite' came to Ibrox and won 2-0. Dalglish was my hero in them days. Some cunt gave me a black eye that night because I cheered when he scored, the last time anyone ever hit me and got away with it! :blackeye:

Hey Tim, how did you find Rushden and Diamonds in FA Cup. To lose 1-0 sounds pretty respectable. I only ask because we are playing them next. The possibility of a third round tie away at Man Ure beckons....

No fucking way:nonono: Don't get me wrong Sebsy, the fat wife beating alky was not a bad player, but to compare him with Maradona is bollocks mate, he was more famous for crying like a baby than his "silky skills" And if the stupid twat never challenged Gary Charles the way he did - he could possibly have ended up a great player. I can't stand the Bastard - seems to me like he played all his best stuff with the Forces of Darkness (Rangers!!) Best player I've watched is Henrik Larsson Best player from an opposing team Brian Laudrup or Andy Moeller of Borussia Dortmund.
