So, Krafty is an optimistic track which the record company chose, because optimism sells (just try telling Joy Division fans that)!

well seeing as i seem to be the only person on here that hasnt heard the whole album yet, this was my first chance to hear some tracks and....as usual with new order im not exactly bowled over by them on first hearing, but im sure they will grow on me, though im not sure ragga/rock will ever grow on me.

Am i totally wrong or are some of the songs a bit different from the promo-version? Differently mixed? Or am i just halluzinating?

See ? It's all thanks to me. They've read someone's willing to wait untill the tracks are legal, understod what a lovely bunch we are and put songs online. I should be praised and showered with flowers.

Maybe I start a petition to release Dracula's Castle as next single. That song's far superior than cheesy-cheesy JETstream.

Draculas Castle is the best track on the album, although why they gave it that title i do not know, should of been some more like 'true faith' or 'ruined in a day' as a title would of been a mega track all round then.

for me Turn, Told you so, and Draculas castle are the best by a long way, WFTSC is starting to sink in as a summer tune, I can imagine listening to that with the top down on my car on a hot summers day near the coast would really come into its own then, but as far as the rest of the tracks are concerned they dont really go anywhere and just wash over you, but for me Turn 9/10, Told you so 10/10 , DC 10/10 WFTSC 8/10

Who chose these tracks? Cause they're the worst four tracks on the album (IMHO).

I will give the record one listen through once it comes out in its entirety but the four tracks "showcased" on the bbc sound like the head of the nail in the coffin of this bands reputation as important artists... a band that could listen to the playback of Working Overtime and Jetstream, smile at each other and say "thats pretty good; lets release that!" is a band that I cant even recognize anymore... I will hold my serious venom for now, but as someone whose entire adult life has been marked and charmed by this music I have to say that today is a very depressing day indeed... its like when you look at someone you have known your whole life and thought that you liked, but you realize that you have absolutely nothing in common with anymore... and in fact dont even speak the same language...

And the worst thing is that its not even that much of a big deal... I just cringe at how awful this music is, curse myself for being so right about the steep trajectory of this bands decline and move onto the next thing I have to do... the worst thing is that it just doesnt even matter...

I previously wrote that 'Krafty' sounded like a mediocre Electronic song. I take that back; it grew on me and its not as bad as I thought. However I still maintain that it is the worst 1st single of an NO record. I like the cover of WFTSC. It has the look of a generic product, just like Substance. I think this is supposed to contrast with the unique/exceptional music we (hopefully) will find on the record.

If you're a fan of newOrder, then you'll be rewarded with multiple listens of the album. One time through and we were all underwhelmed but it's a "Grower" as they say. Don't expect Low-Life2 or Technique2 and you won't be disappointed.

Points for risk taking. That first one they played my acid head friends in Northern California would like and they didn't like 80's new order much.Very cool the first one steve picked there.my dad might even like that. So more points. Points for a psychedelic element.Krafty has cool lyrics. The reggea-ish thing probaly good live..cool actually...may grow on me more. jetstream...that's silly.I think Barney's throwin' piss at us again. like the female vocal. a chuckle all in all on that.. but..we'll hear it all in umm..order ..when it is released. wait a minute.----

I hate to say it but I really do like 'I Told You So'... but then again I like Ace of Base, and it is very reminiscent of some of their reggae-techno-pop tracks.

(laughing) umm I'm indeed a fan... a long time, aged, craggy fan (didnt you kids go to NO 101 where they tell you who I am?)... and I have never understood how people cant tell right from the start whether something is good or not... I have listened to promos of every NO release since Movement and in every case it was immediately evident if the record was any good or not... even listening to the teaser clips from Republic on a tinny computer speaker I could tell it was a wonderful record... but Get Ready and this new bomb have been cringefests from the word go, and how bad music could grow on someone is beyond me... some music does put on additional weight as time goes by, but I have never ever heard a record that went from horrendous to even listenable regardless of how many times you hit the repeat key...

Listening to these four tracks goes to show after reading reviews from the insiders that when you create low expectations, you can be pleasantly surprised. If these are the "worst" tracks on the album, then I'm pretty stoked, because as a hard core New Order fan, circa 1987, I've been more happy about songs on an album since Technique. Damn, I haven't even really LIKED New Order as an album band. I prefer Subtance, singles, dance remixes, and my favorite selections from each album. Did you guys hear the dance remix of WFTSC behind the interview track? That's a nodder. The much maligned rock-regga song sailed in my mind. It was experimental in every ways it should be, involved in atypicallyneworder non-grating female vocals, and Ace of Base? Run 2 sounds more like Leaving on a Jet Plane ;) What the hell was John Denver smoking? I love Krafty so much I listen to it three or four times a day (which couldn't be said of dry-mouthed Crystal). Working Overtime is New Order Vertigo-ing the Shack with better written material and production than that fan upset. Jetstream is definitely different and not my pick for single two, but if the video can show a dirty fat Hooky getting his grove on WITH his base and a two stewardesses in the hile mile room, I'd give it double douce.

Ooh I am going to like that WFTSC remix, if it is a real remix :)

ItS not a remix of WFTSC in the background its just the first 30 secs or so on repeat and the it does however go on to what is a remix of Krafty i haven`t heard but does sound quite good!!.And Working Overtime sounds better and makes more sense at the end of tha album

For what it's worth, out of the four tracks, I think they've managed to include the three worst songs on the album. They're also the three that are kind of out of sync with the overall feel of it.
