First gig I went to was Squeeze and the support was A Flock Of Seagulls at the Royal Court 1981. Quite a good gig to be honest.

1st NO was Glasgow SECC the following year.
My first gig was an aussie band called the Models, back in 1982, My friend and i rushed the stage and he got one of Barton Fink's drumsticks and i got James Freud's plectrum. A great night had by all.

The Stranglers supported by The Skids at Bridlington Spa on the 'Black & White tour' 1978 (I think) Brilliant!

I had tickets to see New Order at the Reading Festival in '98 but that fell through due to family reasons, I was absolutely gutted 
So my first proper gig was Monaco in '99 at the Scala in London which ironically turned out to be Hooky and Pottsy's last ever show :( But it was a really special night as I met Hooky for the first time at the aftershow party and he was dead nice. He kept handing me free drink vouchers and very genuinely said thanks for all the work I did on my Monaco sites(s) which gave me a warm fuzzy feeling :)
I'm not much of a gig goer really, but if a decent band appears in my area I'll round up some mates and get tickets. I have a pretty small gig "CV" so far :D but it's quality not quantity eh? ;)
- Monaco @ London Scala 1999.
- New Order @ Glasgow Barrowlands 2001, both nights, was lucky enough to have a backstage pass.
- RAM supporting NO @ the first Glasgow show, I video'd their performance for Pottsy.
- Doves @ Edinburgh Corn Exchange during the Last Broadcast tour, amazing!
- Morrissey a few weeks ago @ Edinburgh Corn Exchange, the man's a legend, AMAZING gig!
Looking forward to seeing The Finn Brothers at the Usher Hall in October, that should be a great chilled out, melodic affair from two fantastic songwriters. I plan to catch New Order at least two or three times on their next UK tour, so hopefully see some of you NOOL'ers there for a beer

The Police, at the then Hammersmith Odeon, in December 1979, supported by some jokers called Wazmo Nariz (who were shite). Amazing how at the time I thought the Police were just so much better than JD. I still thought that 3 months later when I turned down tickets for the Stranglers/JD show at the Rainbow to see Madness. What was I thinking...
If we forget that I was taken to see Glen Campbell at RAH in 76, it was Theatre Of Hate/Birthday Party/Modern English at ULU May 81. Just don't mention Glen Campbell to anyone

Shamed to admit but first gig was The Cure at Birmingham NEC September 1985.My workmate persuaded me to go .I was bored after about the third song.All this lumbering Cure nonsense (actually they have done a few good songs over the years).First New Ordrr gig was Birmingham Tower Ballroom Oct 86 but i had to leave half way through what turned out to be quite a classic gig.Went to Kasabian the other week at Leicester Uni and they are a top band
