Got a certain emotional attachment to some of us English peoples I should imagine. Every time I hear the song I can picture Gazza shedding a tear vs Gemany.

So do I Sebsy - it brings a tear to my eye as well  :violent: :violent: :violent: Fat wife beating overrated piece of shit ;)

Is there a limit on how many we could vote for?

Did we say NO remixes. Fucking Subculture remix shite had me in tears, so would probs be no.1 but will go for...

  1. Liar
  2. ShellShock
  3. Times Change

All pants.

Think I listed World In Motion as worst track in a related forum a bit of time ago, but I've also gotta add State of the Nation as something I don't think of as very good. Always skip it when it comes up nowadays on a tape or cd, but there was a time when I didn't half mind it.

Most cack track then, as before: World In Motion

How can people hate shellshock... the intro is genius, and the bits that sound like the cd player has got stuck just add to this!

Shellshock is the only track I can't really get used to. It's just silly.

A lot of remixes are daft tracks too (the infamous Sly & Robbie version of Runined, the 1963 reworks, the Sub-Culture remix, the Armand Glenn Helder remix of BLT, and so on and so on).

Rock The Shack is the one song I wish had never seen the light of day, sure, some of the others are bad, but their existence doesn't bother me.

I don't really see a NO song as pure cack... As I said in this 'worst or less good NO song thread' that was closed because it was too long, erm...

:dead:

So, I guess, right now, it sould be 'Slow Jam'...

It was the first one I was old enough to remember properly, before the Order came into being. :smoking:

Worst song: Turn the Heater On

Those who hate Slow Jam must be too young to remember Joy Division. Beats any song on Republic, except for Regret.

oh David...:nonono: :nono:

Turn the Heater On is a very interesting little ditty...

but that is just my opinion!!!!

I must disagree with the notion that everything from Salvation is crap, Skullcrusher alone rates higher than some of the recent dross particularly the B-sides.

Worst track Behind closed doors

If you would allow us to extend the poll to 'most unwanted track at agig' then

  1. Anything from Republic other than Regret
  2. Anything from Get Ready other than Crystal
  3. Blue Monday (naturally)

shug, were those responses to martians outrageous claims or your actual thoughts on worst track? Lyrically, Republic beats Get Ready hands down. It's so interesting to hear Barney sing about the fighting and tension within the band and at business meetings. I wish it sounded a little better (more real drums/Peter Hook)

David, Slow Jam has grown on me and i do appreciate the fact that it's not a sing-along like half the album. I will never agree with that fucker Billy Corgan singing a few shit lines on a neworder track. What about effects on a multitracked vocal like the chorus on BLT. Why couldn't barney sing "take my hand..." at the beginning? If you listen to the lyrics, it does not make sense to have another male vocal adding those specific lines. it does not complement the meaning of the song or add anything special. its just a fucking cameo by a mtv rock star. almost like oceans 11 where famous people suck each others cock and talk about how famous they are and how much the enjoy each others work. smashing pumpkins suck.

I really don't get all this hatred against Corgan. Fair enough, he's a knob end, but so are most people in the music industry. Does he really detract from TMW at all? I think not. I actually quite like his voice.
