I can't quite fathom why he would wish to go, who he's going from and why he would be embarrassed if somebody watched him leave the premises.

I think the point was that you wrote "favorite Australians" & depthcharge picked up on the americanised spelling of favourite.

Pretty sure it was meant as a joke, but at this stage - its just not funny anymore:D

Well, it's a good tune yes, still behind the title track on my list though...

Perhaps it helps to appreciate Turn if English is your first language, because apart from that line, the lyrics are really extraordinarily beautiful and moving.

no one's mentioned how much the opening sounds like Every Beat of the Heart by The Railway Children. "That's an angry sky behind me"...Railway Children with guest guitarist, Chris Isaac.

i agree that it has that Chris Issak twang to it. One of the first things I thought when I heard it...along with it sounding like the more evolved brother of Hey Now What You Doing (by way of some Neil Young).

I think it's the worst track on the album. It's completely bland, with a bridge that needs killing with guns.

For the moment, at least, I'm taking the position that this falls in the category of Muffy telling the world that Slow Jam was his favorite track on GR. Of course, this isn't Muffy (unless he's changed his name again).

I'm not saying it to be controversial, but both Turn and Krafty sound incredibly forced when compared with the rest of the album. They feel like they're New Order's attempt to be relevant without being "too New Ordery" and thus they suffer terribly. In fact, I'd guess that Turn and Slow Jam aren't so far removed in terms of the creative process that went into them. They're certainly pretty similar in terms of quality.

I think the genre as a black hole P, but perhaps he can expand on his preferred galactic battling. I wouldn't like to suggest that he liked Star Growlers stole my Flight Path when in reality he enjoyed Venus Fitters 2 better.

As an aside, it seems a shame that your recent bell topic is hanging by a thread - it may be that the entire concept is solely dependent on your pioneering efforts.

At the very onset you mentioned that a great revelation had occurred, that all NO albums were concepts. Is this a theory you have abandoned?

I haven't abandoned it, H, but I confess I haven't pursued it either. It just seemed that since WFTSC is so clearly a thematic whole, that there is a good chance the same is true of the others as well, since they do in fact all tend to have their own distinctive "sound" (in at least the case of Brotherhood, a bad sound). People have also frequently commented about distinctive "sides" (in the case of Brotherhood and Technique). But as I say I haven't pursued the theory any further.
