Hunts, you are joking ain't you? It's purest evil.

If I didn't know you better, I'd suggest you'd been taking too much 'nosebag' if you're liking 'shame of the nosebag'

No-one spoke about Avalanche or Best & Marsh ? My vote would go for theses ones, as well as Run Wild, Fine time (the Edit version) and some early stuff (Mesh, Senses). Certainly NOT Shellshock :music:

I have to stand by my love rights SB2, and thus I do really really enjoy Shame of the NBag. What can I say

It's only in recent times that I've ever turned against any of their products. R the Shithouse, Slow Death Penalty, Working Over the Stooges, and 4 jars from The Republican that my creator was kind enough to remove from my memory.

Stink of the Nosebag is possibly my fave b-side.

I don't normally post two smileys. Whatever has happened

 - (what's that one mean to be? ... something with a boiled egg on its head?)

ok Hunts, I'll let it go and put it back to a very freak difference in NO tastes between me and you.

I have to admit to not minding RTS or WO particularly though. I quite like the brainlessness of them. (What about Movement though - I know it was difficult times, but that album is unlistenable IMO)

As for Smileys - dunno. Why did anyone invent the bloody things, they're crap.

I mean what is this supposed to be? :faint: Farting+following through, sucking a lemon, then falling asleep?

Slightly bigger than the Proclaimers singing "we're fuck all and we ken we've got nae chance", or whatever the Scoatlin' World Cup song was (in the days before they invented the CD, or the 45 rpm single for that matter) :evil4:

... is that your Friday night all planned out SB2?

Yeah, if we can agree to forget we ever discussed Shambles of the National Turnips and proceed forward.

I bought Bowel Movements back in the day, probably before CD's were invented, and I think I played some of the first side and about 15 seconds of the second side. It was mushy peas.

Some years later I went back to it thinking I'd made some kind of mistake - and my record player got up and left home.

My personal worst song is Angel Dust. However it might not be the case anymore since the Community project made me discover it, so now it might point to Shellshock.

Some of us LIKE Shellshock.

I liked shellshock too and state of the nation

I like them too. My vote for worst NO song goes to all the B-sides on Substance, except 1963. I never listen to the second CD because I hate it so much.

I agree with Tim, ELC is utter shit, and so is much of the Brotherhood album.

all personal opion of course but I cant see the attraction of EGG myself. Maybe its just me but its dull. State of the Nation is brilliant when cranked up. Cant hear any female vocals (thought that was just Barneys backing vocal???).

I agree with you on early work. Movement is pretty rubbish. Not surprised New Order wanted to re-record it before it was released. At least they made amends on the Peel Sessions.

The first Orange Peel Sessions is fabulous.

Turn the Heating On is a marvel.

So is, erm, what else was on it?

Young Offender. Crap Electronic. Bit like Raise the Pressure then. Maybe not that bad.

I think ELC was more for them than for anyone else.

Their little practical joke on the music world

I'm a huge fan of all of the tracks except for TLU instrumental and Shame of the Nation!

AArghh...I've tried posting on this topic twice and when I hit submit it just erases what I wrote. Half an hour of my life down the drain.

I wrote an incredible insightful, hilarious piece on the worst NO songs, possibly the best post ever written but now you'll never read it because it's disappeared.

So here's my list:

Confusion Thieves LIke Us Times Change Young Offender Shellcock Shame of the Nation

It's got to be 'Run Wild', it bores me to tears.

I'm not to struck on 'Vietnam' either :nonono:

Damn right about Vietnam. I totally forgot about that one. :barf:

I dislike We all stand, Bizarre love triangle, Chemical, Brutal,

Vietnam: I never heard this song, does it go under a different title or B-side?

It was a cover version on the Warchild compilation.

Turn My Way Slow Jam Rock The Shack Let's Go Working Overtime

Guitar oriented songs are not my favourites:) I really like Republic and the first two albums from Electronic...

We All Stand Sub-Culture (12" version) Shellshock Shame of the Nation World in Motion the latter half of Republic (yes, even Special)

Compared to these, Slow Jam and Rock the Shack are minor offences!

I'll add another that hasn't been mentioned yet: Blue Monday '88. I'll take the played-to-death original over this tiresome, dated remix.

I have developed a great dislike for Run Wild; I find the 'when Jesus comes to take your hand, I won't let go' bit quite touching but they have to go and spoil it at the end with ... can't quite remember now, something 'high'.
