There's a pretty good stretch on track 3 starting at about 3:32.

Unfortunately H is not here though to give it just the right tug.

  1. 60mph. Crap lyrics...60mph isn't even that fast. What was Bernard thinking?

  2. Slow Jam. Again, crap lyrics.

  3. Told You So. Second rate New Order filler track. Cool beats/sounds at the intro but once the ragga starts, it sounds like a track off an Electronic album.

  4. Jetstream. J-E-T sucks. Song in general is C-R-A-P.

Solid for 14 seconds ... so to speak...

Yes, solid, for 14 seconds, so to speak.

And I also like 4:18 to 4:32 of #6. Many do not, I believe.

Hmm, no "World in Motion" yet. Coming from north of the border it really grates... :dead:

Most of republic with the exception of Regret which is on my list of favourite tunes.

Oh and SOTN has dated somewhat, not much death inflation going on anymore.

I confess that I cannot immediately call that stretch to mind; but I will focus on it and report back.

No, I heard most of Movement... :D

I personally think that "Dreams never end" off of this one is still a cracking track but yes the rest of the album is instantly forgettable.

Hi mines Eligia, crap start to side two on Low Life. Far too long in my opinion, and so boring. The thing is though Low Life is a brilliant album, just this track. I always skip this track nowadays.

I absolutely cannot stand Rock the Shack, I also don't like Shellshock either, but Rock the Shack is FAR worse...

I always liked the programming of StateOfTheNation and Shellshock....as club singles they weren't usable, but as "car-tape" tracks they were wonderful, specially played really loud....I loved em, and nobody else in Pittsburgh knew what they were, which made them much more valuable to ME.

now, rock the shack? who can listen to that? I may be older than the freakin hills, but, I dunno, I think its unlistenable. I lived thru the early seventies, and I truly got over it then. RTS was no fun at all. nor is it serioius at all...what value has it?

yeah....elegia mite be some kind of indulgent achievement for the band musically or whatever....but really, why listen to it?

The Him, Face Up, Broken Promise, and Way of Life should not be in the top 7 worst.

They probably don't exceed the "ShellShock" standard that has been established in this thread, but they're certainly in a class above Rock the Shack....and that's just the way it is.

I really love Fine Time and Every Little Counts. They are both hilarious songs - the latter very beautiful, too. I think they are both excellent NO tracks.

We All Stand was an awesome song live. somehow, someway it got fucked up on PC&L.

Worst song??? The remix extended of Subculture.

State Of The Nation is definitely the least played single in my NO collection by far, glad that I don't own Brotherhood on CD so as to avoid hearing it accidentally.

World In Motion.

Love Vigalantes State of the Nation Turn My Way first 4 songs off Brotherhood (in no particular order) Sooner than you think Thieves like us Krafty(sometimes)

Everythings Gone Green gets my vote for worse New Order song. I always skip it if I can when I listen to Substance. It just goes on and on. Ultraviolence is another one I cant stand.

EGG's a classic!

'Shame of the nation' is surely the worst. Only reminded myself yesterday just how bad it is - awful, awful female vocals and vile dated music. I was actually embarrassed listening to it.

On a normal album, some of republic was pretty shocking, as was just about all of Movement, We All stand, Slow Jam and Elegia do very little for me

Shame on the Nosebag is one of my favourite NO B-sides, I especially like the music.

I'm so 80's. :shades:

H puts himself to sleep at night by dropping Simple Minds into the cassette deck and fantasising about taking Molly to the dance.

By morning it's The Goonies on Betamax and a bowl of PacMan Marshmellow Puffs with milk, extra full cream.
