pop ecstacy...

anyone who doesn't tap to this song is dead...

or just too cool....

pop as good as jetstream is hard to write and never respected as much as it should be...

"If you enjoy this song, you're not a true fan!!!"

Or something like that.

My 6 year old daughter absolutely loves it.

Take from that what you will.

Mine (2,6 & 8) all prefer Guilt is a Useless Emotion & Hey Now What you Doing? But they like JET also

I think it is catchy as fcuk and better than most average singles.I think some of the mixes or remixes have a lot of potential. So really i am a bit embarrassed to say"I LOVE IT". But i voted that.Wish it was 20 years ago obviously but not just for the music. But i never thought then that the group or i would still be around. So enjoy it while you can. What the hell will we listen to when they call it a day?Is KIM WILDE still a kid in AMERICA.Thought not. Then i shall just have to listen to THE PET SHOP MEN!:D

Kim W is not a kid in a America anymore but big in Cambodia. :D Oops! Jetstream - always loved that one which is quite weird for someone who used to, I repeat, USED TO dislike Guilt so much. Love Ana's vocal, far way better than backing vocals in Guilt. :thumb:

I'm in the "love it" camp here. If you can't at least try to sing along to this, there's something wrong IMO.

its shite...I dont play it to my young uns 10,4,and 2.tho the four year old loves to dance to Krafty which is ace,and sings the title track with Gusto and no small amount of passion,it warms me heart it does. These songs +Turn are pretty much universal classics, which is great.Jetstream is a sick joke betrayal,of the bands own philosphy. As a represtation of there work it does them no favours.:nono:

It's not that bad at all, sure it's not the traditional NO song, but WTF is NO these days? It's just a kind of catchy pop song which has been said here a million times already, and hasn't got much of a problem with me, i've been listening to the promo version more though cause it doesn't feature Ana, basically it's just better all NO and not including some bird from a third rate pop band, or whatever shite you wanna call the scissor sisters. Not a bad song at all though, this could chart high you know...

Was a little iffy about it at first, but have grown to quite like it in most of it's permutations(without Ana it was an OK premix, but she/he/whatever kicks it up a few gears):thumb:

Yeah and it sucked live too!!

Don't even tell me that Ana can sing.

She sounded horrible at the show.

No matter what, it still kicks hell out of any other track in the UK charts - and it's not even in the top 5 best tracks on the album!

Either songwriting in the UK/USA has just become to samey or crap over the last few years, or New Order are still the best band around...

I can't stand it We've banned it

Gringo's say No

Hate it, but New Order is allowed to lay the occasional egg! I love the new album, but this is my least favorite song out of everything they've done.

Both assumptions are correct IMHO Chris!!!!

Crap crap crap crap crap!!! What a stupid choice for the second single. Perhaps it's the record company saying to the band that they need to hitch a piggyback ride on the back of some current flavor of the month pop puppets like the Scissor Sisters to get themselves a mainstream hit? Well I doubt it's going to reap much dividends do you? And when I saw them on Jonathan Ross last weekend I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. They were diabolically bad! What a masterstroke - bringing out the second worst track of the album as a single (the worst being the reggae-shite "Told You So")!:nonono:

Listen again, and you will realize it is the very worst on the album.I agree with every other word you say tho  They arnt pulling the wool over your eyes:shades: Its a shame with some of the other quality on the album going unnoticed by the masses:confused2:

look, the 'masses' miss a LOT in this world....

new order aren't responsible for that.

I know I have said to too many times, but Single releases are not just about putting the critically superior song out on a solo release....

Would radio stations truly push Turn or WftSC versus the other pop crap they are literally bribed into playing by record companies???

sadly, new order has to play the game and put forth POPTASTIC POP to the radio stations as singles to get exposure....

it has always been this way. this is why a beautiful and perfect tune like "your favorite here" was not a single in "year here".

deal with it. singles are for capitalism....

albums are for the fans.

Well, if you're THAT confident about "Shitstream"s chances commercially then I will promise to sell off ALL my prized Echo and the Bunnymen record collection - vinyl, videos, cds, tapes, cd remasters, posters, etc... if that dreadful single goes top ten this weekend.

Somehow I'm very confident it won't stand a snowball in hells chance of doing that. So my Bunnymen treasures are safe for definite.....

Besides WFTSC should have been the second single as it's SUCH a good tune. What a great wasted opportunity .....

I know they dont do it for free. That is'nt the point.the song is really BAD.I recently played it to Yoda,he commented, curtly,"many pissers pulled with this Jetstream, there will be......Siiighhhh".Who the fuck am I to argue with a Jedi Master? :D

You are Upping the stakes:laugh: like it mate. But if you are playing for all the marbles you could have said, if this nightmare song breaks the top five.Give yourself a chance mate, its bound to chart top 15,with the now well established fan base buying it in the first week.regardless of the song being any good, they are buying it because its new order .Good luck cos this song don't deserve to make any money from sales :nonono:

Bloody Hell, Michael, do you ever sleep?

You have officially been recognised as the campaign director for the Jetsream is Shite Party!

Are you thinking of standing for pariament on this issue?

Where do you stand on schools and hospitals?

Fair play for caring about this issue so strongly. Most people would have got bored and gone to bed by now.

Come to think of it: most people probably have done just that.
