You can't pick songs from side projects or Joy Division.
For me it's Chemical. I think it's too tame, it would be a B-side side at best.

Jetstream - embarrassing in every aspect. Sounds like it was slapped together by a DJ or producer for the sole purpose of catering to a pop music audience. I still find it unlistenable.

I’d have to disagree with you. I love Slow Jam. Some dodgy lyrics, but a good song.

Probably true, but still listenable.

Come on, it wasn't that bad. When you're drunk, it's amazing.
For me, it’s Thieves Like Us. Reminds me of Come On Eileen.
Toss up out of these three:
Rock The Shack
Times Change
Young Offender
First two are about even money though
To tell you the truth I can't think of any - their highs are better appreciated when contrasted with their lows, so I wouldn't be without these...
I also think it's good when they experiment and muck about with different styles, sometimes with mixed results...
The song I like least is 'state of nation' (even though i despise the female PM who inspired it)... but i don't wish they hadn't made it...
Cheer up ya old buggers!![]()

agree thers no melody in this song
but the worst has to be rock the shack what were they on?
There's been a few! State of the nation i didn't 'get' Krafty bugs me Love Vig - I know its good but i hate C&W
but the first one to really worry me & i still dont like it is:
Thieves Like Us
:dead:
Subculture is in the top 10-15 of all NO songs for me (The Substance version).
I wish they had made Guilt a single instead of an album track (ala Here to Stay).

Although that Hooky said in an interview that -all our songs are fucking great- i'll go for Rock the Shack
this is a good question. I listen to New Order since 1987, and i think there are many songs they never would have made !! For me, you can find the most of these songs on their last album : i told you so, working overtime, Guilt is a useless emotion. Sorry if i hurt someone with this...

The first to say it, but not the last. Dreadful in every possible way.

Even worse than Slow Jam.

Worst offender being Every Little Counts. This is a pisstake.
even the live glastonbury version? come on its great!
the only one they really shouldn't have made is the 'american' version of Let's go. The instrumental is excellent, the demo is not bad at all, but the third one: yuk
Jetstream....very lame and dull sounding New Order! Also 'I Told you so' makes me reach for the 'skip this track' button.
