Oh, btw, that promo CD single that was mentioned earlier is looking more suspect as the days go by! 
The registered domain name of 808state.co.uk (mentioned on the sarm.co.uk site) has nothing to do with 808 State (at least officially), and Sarm has nothing to do with Sarm Studios (ZTT/Trevor Horn), so I'm guessing that the Arthur Baker one doesn't have anything (officially) to do with him either...
I'll believe the rumours of this promo CD single if I actually see one... 
Exactly - as I alluded to earlier on in the thread, the guy is full of shit. As was subsequently proven by Nic's mail from Warner about the 2 track CD.

The reason might be all of us are over 15 years old, by the way...

It would seem to be the action of a label trying to kill a band off rather than ignite interest in it.
People with record players are in the extreme minority now, this release serves little or no purpose and the single will sink like a stone.
well i got my arse in gear and Pre ordered all 3 today.
i'm well looking forward to plugging my record player back in.
on an Ebay note, when Nine Inch Nails released a collectors box for the 9" vinyl singles off the new album, it was free from the website for UK fans only too, anyway as i'm not a big NIN fan i sold mine on Ebay 3 days after recieving it for £70 not a bad little profit.
Interesting to note HMV's listing for this single:
They have the 3 x 7"s listed with correct tracklisting yet still have the CD5, DVD and 12" listed as well. Although the release dates are incorrect and there are no tracklistings, they have tagged them with official London catalog numbers.

so, i live in the u.s. which means no slipcase (i can deal), but i've been trying all morning to find a website where i can preorder all the singles from. i've tried amazon.co.uk, eli.com, and htfr.com, all to no avail. anybody from the uk know of any good record shops i should hit up for the singles? (i couldn't find the label's website either--is it london or warner?). thanks in advance,

CD, DVD and 12" have been listed on there for nearly a month now. They're just being slow in removing them, I think.

Yet for some reason, in the past few days they've decided to attach the cover artwork - rather than delete them altogether.
I'm not sure when the catalog numbers were added.

Oooh, what a lazy wanker I am: just Google Rich Costey and Jacknife Lee, they're not really unkonwn... but I still think those two remixes are not enough to attract people to buy the single...

A CD will be issued a week after the 3 x 7" singles on London Records (October 3rd) This will be issued alongside the DVD "ITEM" which features all the Videos to the singles and NEW ORDER STORY previously on VHS only this time much longer. A New CD album of singles is also due out on October 3rd featuring NO single versions of all their releases - Blue Monday 1988 version though - And thats why the original 1983 7" dj copy will be on WFTSC cd single. THE WFTSC CD single will include:
01 WFTSC (Video Mix) 02 WFTSC (Daniel Miller Edit) 03 WFTSC (Arthur Baker Dub) 04 BLUE MONDAY (Radio Station Only 1983 Edit 7") 05 1963 (Instrumental)

Well, according to every track list I've read, both the 83 and 88 versions of Blue Monday are going on 'The Singles' - one on disc one, the other on disc two - so that "press release" is wrong. Besides, if London were to release this as a "promo", that's a waste, as the promo's tracklisting is more interesting than the 2-track regular CD they're bringing out.
