Craig - the whole thing is like some theory you have read about in one of your masters' books about social grouping, and you are mistakenly trying to apply it to NOOL, failing to understand how the site's membership has developed from being a purely electronic virtual community to being a highly successful and vibrant social outlet for some, whereas others still live in the virtual community side by side, depending on location etc. All are welcome, not all can make it. Sadly you seem to be of the impression that we're all a bunch of thugs who use the net to communicate, maybe you read some article about organised football violence while studying for your masters into human insight? Have you ever encountered such a diverse range of education, qualifications, skills and attributes such as those possessed across NOOL before? You may never understand that the common bond here is the music of New Order, and that we all come from all walks of life, education, jobs etc to meet up at gigs when we can and communicate online in-between because we like the band and drinking/socialising. I also doubt you'll ever get your head round people flying to Australia, USA etc to see NO, nor people flying in from Serbia, Finland etc. People don't do that sort of thing in theories!

We couldn't do Smog City on a Thursday - we all have jobs!

We do intend to play some places other than London eventually, but to be fair the band is a lesser priority than our families etc. We're all 20+ year New Order veterans and have careers and such like that don't allow us to play gigs all over the country, much as we'd like to.

Maybe a Saturday gig could be considered though, if we could combine it with a Friday one oop north as well.

new small indie venue opened in accrington,lancs at weekends. about time,ive waited years for it to happen.maybe,just maybe!!! o god.if could sort digital or re-order there :D

Lord and lady are unable to attend this function,we are having luncheon at the silkstone grange country club.afterwards we plan to have a few sherries then go grouse shooting and with our impending vacation to the golden shores of venezuela one simply cannot afford it!
