What a top night! Didn't finish work till late then got a train down to big smoke from Aylesbury . Got to a random pub to meet up with mates at around 8, had a beer and pressed on to the venue! Really gutted I missed the meet up before hand! So missed out on the pins...again!

Got to the venue before 9. Saw some nutter do his DJ set that nearly killed half of the Audience. Venitian Snares. Half way through, Hooky came up and sat behind us to listen to the Hardcore Techno Bass noise!???

He only stayed around for about 10 mins and I think it was enough even for him.

So we all went for a top up at the melee of a bar and got some wets in.

Furry's opened with a good tune and ended with a ok one, but the other two were suicidally dull.

Then we set up for the most awesome small gig I have ever been to! From Row L Hooky's side of the venue, we watched the whole place go mental and kick off down the front!

What a set! Cracking tunes and a few suprises.

Shame Barney's guitars were fooked! He looked like he had a sad on, but rightly so! Hope they sacked the guitar engineer!

All in all the best gig for a very long time.

Hope to catch up with you monkeys next time for the pre-fight bash!

Regards

TF

We must've been rather close! My sister and her hubby were in Row L, Hooky's side. As was Wolfram, although he obviously didn't stop there long!

If you saw three big geezers and a tall bird all stand up from the row in front of you and pile down the front the very second the band came on, then that was me, Hac, (Mad) Darren and Gina G.

  2. It's sounds corny but I never thought I'd ever see Joy Division live. Shadowplay & Warsaw made this gig a one off.

  3. Everyone I met from this site is fookin top, best bunch of people on earth.

Comedy?! :skeptic:

Comedy was you in the pub with your head and shoulders fully wrapped in your NO flag with your naked belly out - a lasting memory for me :p

...and I have the pictures, in case anyone has sucessfully blocked the sight from their memory!!!

What a great 24 hours!

At 1pm yesterday I left the office in Aberdeen and I sat down at my desk again at 11.30 this morning. The bloke who sits next to me didn't even notice I was missing! In the missing hours I managed to get to London and drink myself stupid. Transport consisted of my car, two aeroplanes, one monorail, one train (first class on the Gatwick Express, baby!), three tubes, two busses and a taxi!

The gig itself was stunning. The best bits for me where the gasps from the crowd when we realised we were getting Shadowplay, and the even bigger one for the Encore!

I was at the not-moving-around-at-the-back crew and got a great view. Loved watching the meelee down the front and laughing at Liam and Shug's attempts to look as sober as me!

Nice to meet everyone blah blah blah photos posted as soon as I can find the lead for the stupid camera. Only the pub ones came out; no dazzling images from inside the gig. Here's one nicked from the Guardian instead - the photographer must have been sat on Al's head to get this angle!

Speaking of Al - many thanks for letting me know in time to get the tickets, the pin badge, the company and generally being all round man of the moment!

Thanks for the badges AL:bow:

Mrs Manic was chuffed to get one of her own this time

When it all kicked of the security gaurd who was stopping us from getting down the front moved from his post to assist at the front.

This left the coast clear for us to sneak down from row AA to a good position on the steps near the front.

You lot are a bunch of nutters, certainly looked like you were having fun.

Well chuffed with the JD set.

The missus says "what the fluck does 31G" mean ?

Must admit i couldn't think of a decent response. Any one got any ideas??

Corkin Evening all round

We watched the whole show and only nipped out for the odd drink / piss so didn't get a chance to say hello to many of you.

Got me ticket signed by Hooky, So that was a bonus.

Explanation HERE

Not a pleasant subject, but I think there was a lot of media interest about Hess at the time. The whole should we / shouldn't we let him out debate.

It wasnt that prick with the pony tail was it? He was stopping me for a while then I noticed the other stairs were unguarded so I fooked off down there.

i noticed that on the warsaw video. maybe he was afraid one of you boys was going to rush onstage and give barney a big hug and a smooch!

And trust me, Sarge doesn't seem to be the type to talk first ;)

When WenOrder tried to chat with him in Chicago, he just answered by one word all the time, hehe ;)

Sarge wasn't the problem - it was a guy with a yellow vest or who wasn't down the front at the start, and who decided that the best way to control the crowd was to hit people.

From where I was standing it looked like Sarge was as upset about the QEH guys as everyone else was. Never saw him lay a finger on anyone, just make "move back" gestures.

I spoke to Hooky in the foyer earlier and Sarge was totally cool. A pissed guy muscled past me to get Hooky's signature, so Hooky said something to Sarge about people "getting a bit brave", even then he just gently ushered Hooky away.

rumour has it uncle liam will die. perhaps yellow vest man will be the culprit?

Nah. That was probably my yellow t short that everyone signed.

Anyway, as i type Sir Bigin of Oil is sending me lots and lots of pics, including the scariest picture of me in existence. Will be posted as soon as i have reduced the size of them!

Looking forward to that one Liam- glad you had a good one at Kloot, shame I missed it. I went out on the lash instead and proceeded to bore everyone to death with tales of high adventure. Ungrateful bastards. It was a fantastic night, thanks espcially to Barney Army for the lift and good to meet Liam ,Tim and Ness too amongst others. Must also tip the wink to Al for the badge, fantastic stuff.

Who won the sweepstake by the way? Now I really have to go to bed and catch up on a couple of days missed sleep.
