a vexing question

I've introduced everyone I've been involved with to the band, older and younger alike. Most have absorbed my musical preferences after we've broken up. None became massive NO fans that I'm aware of. I like the thrill of dating a non fan, because I get to share really fantastic music with them for a first time - break their NO virginity as it were.

I only knew one person who was vehemently against the band, and that's only because they were jealous that they couldn't play like *insert band member here*.

Yes in the history of gettin down and smoochin choons, "new mode new age advanced ambient motor music machine" (the 11/8 time sig might just be an issue) and "lie dream of casino soul" don't really score too high.

An oversight in my opinion.

As some of you may be aware (coughs with embarrassment) my beloved other half feels compelled to be with me at any gig. He is NOT, I repeat NOT a NO fan however.. In fact, most of the bands/persons he is a fan of are dead actually - except for Robbie - and that is frankly, debatable. However, love grows where my Rosemary goes - even though my name isn't Rose... but there is a point to be made somewhere..... and I will eventually find it, once my head clears........

Oh yes, I've remembered - it's cos he loves me! aahhhh....

My wife's been to quite a few NO gigs (though won't be at Brixton or Manchester), but hates The Fall with a passion! Live music's not really her thing though to be fair, she really likes WFTSC the album as a whole, but her all-time favourite is Regret. I'm very lucky that not only does she tolerate my wall-to-wall music, listening if not playing etc, she actively promotes it.

it is a problem here. most females here haven't heard of new order. you try your best to convert them, but sometimes it just doesn't work. somehow i find that i have more in common with females who do like the order.
