great that some persons have the lot. can anyone give clues about the real timing on these 12" of : Thieves like us - 12" extended remix (6.25 or 6.52?) Fine Time (Steve Silk Hurley remix) (9.18 or 6.18?)

Is fianlly the Jetstream Jacques Lu Cont Dub unreleased or is it a mix already available on the Jetstream singles??

thanks a lot in advance !!

Was listening to some i have recieved and was pleased to hear the 'Glimmers Dub' of Krafty is different to the 'Glimmers Dub' on th standard Krafty 12" from last year.

Or is it a dub of that dub? rub-a-dub-dub eh?

And the Riton mix sounds different to what i already have too:D

And the Confusion- Koma And Bones is longer than the mix i have on the cd single i think .Still not got through all of them

I wouldn't like to say ,el mobbo. The Riton remix sounds different to me from the mix i have from last year and the Glimmers is definetley not the one that was on the standard UK 12" of Krafty. But you'd be better off asking Alistair or someone like that

I haven't got my 12x12" yet, bloody snowed in here up in rural Scotland

If Johnny says it's different from the one on the UK 12" of Krafty then it's probably the 'alternate' Glimmers Dub which can be found on the black Krafty Promo CD (PRO15313). For some reason two versions of the Dub exist with the UK 12" Krafty containing a slightly longer and more distorted version.

You can still get the black Krafty Promo CD for a reasonable price on eBay :)

The Koma and Bones mix is the same length as the 12" version, but has Bernard's new vocal take (the 12" Koma and Bones mix featured the original vocals, for some reason - although the edited Koma and Bones on the CD single and Retro version both featured the new vocals!).

Fine Time (Silk Mix) is the regular 6 minute version from 1988.

Thieves is definitley not 6.52. I timed it last night at about 6mins 30sec. probably my record player was running about half a second (per minute) slow , so that would make it the 6.25 version. Not worth getting really (altho BLT Richard X on the other side is just about worth it.)

The pressing of the original Blue Monday 12" is very good - nice warm bottom end to it. They've naturally titled it wrong ("Original 1988 Version"???). Has the notorious missing intro beats back in place.

Okay, having listened to these 12"s, these are the ones that are previously unreleased:

Waiting For The Sirens’ Call (Planet Funk Remix) Waiting For The Sirens’ Call (Asle Dub) Confusion (Koma & Bones Remix) - Bernard's new vocal, rather than the old vocals that were on the 2002 12" Everything’s Gone Green (Dave Clarke Remix) - different to the 'Rest Of...' version Waiting For The Sirens’ Call (Filterheadz Remix) Jetstream (Jacques Lu Cont Dub) True Faith (Kind Roc Remix) Regret (Tocadisco Remix) Regret (Tocadisco Dub) Bizarre Love Triangle (Richard X Extended Remix) I Told You So (Stuart Price’s Remix)

Cool. These are the commercially unreleased tracks.

Now, for the versions which are totally exclusive and hitherto exist on no known promos or CD-Rs...

On no-known promos or CD-Rs, that would be:

Everything’s Gone Green (Dave Clarke Remix) - different to the 'Rest Of...' version Waiting For The Sirens’ Call (Filterheadz Remix)

:shades:

But for most people (who don't own the promos/CD-R's), Andy's list is the one to go by! :thumb:

thanks a lot, but was the Jetstream's version (phela vocal remix) already released? and is the Bizarre love triangle (richard x extended version) the same as the Future retro compilation's one?

Thanks for the answers !

Future Retro has the Richard X Extended mix on the vinyl release, and the equally excellent Crystal Method mix on the CD.

Phlea Vocal Remix of Jetstream was on the US CD and 12" of Jetstream (called the Phlea Dub, for some reason - it's the same mix).

If we're talking about what are the "new" mixes including ones previously only available on promo, then you can include the 'Glimmers Dub' of 'Krafty' too, which only appeared on the promo in this particular dub mix.

Well, the Phela Vocal Remix was released via UK iTunes - can't quite remember if the Vocal mix was released on the US 12"/CD single, although it's listed as the Dub mix?

As for the Future Retro question - I can't honestly say, as I didn't bother with the vinyl version, but I *presume* that they're the same?

The version of the 'Glimmers Dub' on these new 12"s has previoulsy been referred to as 'The Glimmers Alternative Dub Version' - i.e. the one on the CD promo.

2 more came in the post this morning which made a great start to saturday:D

Not too excited about the WFTSC mixes on first listen but will play them more.

And i'd never heard that Everything's Gone Green mix by Dave Clarke. Was it only available on the cassette version of Rest Of?

I can't listen to the Pump Panel mix of Confusion now without hearing that bloody track that sampled it a few years ago with the guy shouting "EVERYBODY IN THE PLACE,LONDON!!" :nonono:

But i'm really loving that Alternative Glimmers Dub of Krafty:nod:

i like the BLT Richard X mix and am even beginning to be swayed on some of the Jetstream mixes:eek3:

Well, I have really enjoyed going back over the old mixes, and hearing the new ones too. Like all the WFTSC remixes - very clever and very different, but all work really well. Don't like the 'Regret' mixes. In answer to your question:

The Dave Clarke mix was on the vinyl 'Rest Of' (as was the CJ Bolland 'Temptation'), but on this release, the Dave Clarke mix is different - slightly shorter and with what were backwards vocal samples the right way round in some cases.

Am I the only person that thinks the Pump Panel 'Confusion' is absolute tedium?? Have never liked it! There's a better mix of it on the flip of the original Pump Panel 12" release, with more of the proper vocals that was better anyway!

Nothing like the original - not bad as a stand alone track, but doesn't stay faithful to the original whatsoever.

Quite like the Planet Funk remix of WFTSC.

The thing is some of the records play at 33rpm on one side then you flip them over and they are 45rpm.Is that common with dance 12" ??.I dont buy a lot.

Well, I've just spent the day recording all my new vinyl into my PC from my Technics turntable, and boosting the volume, editing and clipping the WAV files with Sound Forge to get a very wonderful quality copy of all the new remixes featured on these releases burnt to CD. Have managed to get them all to a volume and sound quality you'd expect from a professionally mastered CD release, and have fitted all the exclusive new mixes on to one CD (the only thing missing is the 'Glimmers Alternate Dub' which is only on the 'Krafty' promo). Here is the track listing of what are some very, very good remixes:

1 Waiting For The Sirens’ Call (Planet Funk Remix) 2 Waiting For The Sirens’ Call (Asle Dub) 3 Confusion (Koma & Bones Remix) - Bernard's new vocal, rather than the old vocals that were on the 2002 12" 4 Everything’s Gone Green (Dave Clarke Remix) - different to the 'Rest Of...' version 5 Waiting For The Sirens’ Call (Filterheadz Remix) 6 Jetstream (Jacques Lu Cont Dub) 7 True Faith (King Roc Remix) 8 Regret (Tocadisco Remix) 9 Regret (Tocadisco Dub) 10 Bizarre Love Triangle (Richard X Extended Remix) 11 I Told You So (Stuart Price’s Remix) [77:56]

And a very good listen it makes too!

Our shop will open a pre-sale soon for the 12"... of course we're aimed to the market outside Europe, we can't compete with HMV, they almost sale them at COST and without shipping!

Used to have it on the RONO cassette, but it disappeared, and now the cassette and vinyl seem to be unavailable (except for silly money). I don't remember even liking it much but now it bugs me that I don't have it.

Well i think it's a shame they didn't include the Crystal Method mix of BLT on either the same 12" as the Richard X mix or another 12". The other tracks on the Richard X 12" are bog standard tunes that we all have already. This surely would have been a better deal for fans.

And has anyone noticed? Not one of the Guilt remixes has surfaced on these 12"'s. I was a bit surprised by that.

You're not in the "it's a rip-off' crowd then?

I'm not either. Just bought the lot from HMV. Fuckin lovely, although:

1 - the sleeves are made from TISSUE paper 2 - I've not got a turntable (yet)
