Twelve releases too far, I'm afraid - and at that price it's an insult. My days of seeking one copy of every New Order track (preferably on CD) are officially over. Going to just stick to officially released singles and UK editions of the albums from now on - promos, US/Jap albums with exclusive tracks and DJ 12"s are all too expensive.
Simply can't afford to keep up with this kind of shafting any more - least of all for more listen-once then forget remixes.
Simply a casual buyer from now on.

And SADLY i think i will have to join you ANDY.Bravo for attempting this in the first place and a big thankyou to your BRILLIANT lists and timings.Excellent work. But alas MONEY is just too tight these days to chase all these formats and sometimes pointless remixes.I will leave my sons to do there own MIXING and beat matching or whatever they do.

Seems like I'll join that club...
i'm not sure how many pressings of each single will
be around, but i tend NOT to get them right when they
come out...i've still been faithfully keeping up with
most of the releases, even for the last 2 albums, but
i get them much later at much cheaper prices, i'm sure
these will be around, and the same thing will happen..
why be disgruntled now?
for me, i think things really started getting out of hand
during the 'technique' era...and it hasn't gotten
any better since...(or even earlier right around
the 'true faith' single)...there were plenty of
mixes that weren't that great even way back then..
and plenty of releases/formats also...[multiple
singles/vinyl/cd/cassette]..
yes it is aggravating trying to hunt down a lot
of this stuff, but sometimes the challenge is
part of the fun...i'll admit i really don't like
the last couple of albums or singles, but once in
awhile there's a song or mix that's decent, and
that makes it worthwhile....maybe i'm less of a
completist collector, and don't need every single
release, but i do try to get the unique tracks
when i can...and if its affordable..
i really don't see much of a change in the pattern
of releases lately, except for maybe more online
and digital only ones..
