Damn, I've just realised I don't need a visa for Brazil and that I don't have 1,000 euros for a flight. Looks like I'll give it a miss too.

Course, it does depend on how much it would actually cost, and how many gigs they're doing there and who else is up for going.

But, for now, I'll say I'm not going. Probably.

I really wouldnt be surprised if i ended up going. Working full time instead of being at uni helps with these things.

Bit Pricey

To be honest, all plane tickets to South America are very expensive, but once you're there... everything is very cheap!

And it's very unfortunate for them...

So if you go only for 1 day to see New Order, it's not worth it at all!

I believe that tickets will sell for 60 - 120 Reias. 1 Real = 2,30 us dollars

I'm not going either. I mean, I'm not going to Porto Alegre. It's something like 1000 km from São Paulo, the gig is on a Wednesday and I won't be on holidays.

On the other hand, it is extremely rare when a band go to Brazil and don't play in at least one of the two biggest cities of the country (São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro). There are strong rumours about gigs in (guess where) São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

It's the other way around!

Like Nicolas said, everything here is dead cheap for you gringos.

That's one nice story I would like to hear. Who the fuck took you to Help? Nothing but prostitutes and trannies... it's not a nightclub actually, it's a whorehouse.

And the price of the ladies (or whatever it is) is real expensive for what you get in return... picking one nice girl there is like fishing in the desert.

You could sell yourself on eBay, then I could buy you and you would get here by mail. I'll just give the postman a call, we're old friends.

Sent as a gift, of course, I don't wanna pay taxes on a human being. And do not forget to initiate the bid low, otherwise you may end up in Miami.

I've just read some news about two Peter Hook DJ sets in Porto Alegre and São Paulo planned for June 2nd and 3rd, on a festival sponsored by Reebok (?!). I think it would be more credible if it was Adidas.

Link for those who read Portuguese.

Where's JG, your travel buddy?

Surely it's the only unconquered territory left for you guys?

He's doing India (cricket) just before this and Germania (footie) immediately after, but is still thinking of going.

Have to wait see what their schedule is, I guess? Like you said, unchartered waters for us. Never been to South America, let alone see the Order there, obviously.
