As Al says, it does depend on what the whole itinerary looks like and how long its spread over. I doubt they'd go all that way to do just one gig.

Not getting too excited until this is confirmed. Have never heard of this journalist/mag so not taking their word for anything. Could easily be an over excited Promoter giving out the word on what he hopes might happen, to raise the profile of his Festival. Bar Cuba anyone?. That said, with news of DJ sets surfacing there is added credence. Lets wait for the man.

Ricardo - this Port place is too far, but you came to England :scratch: . Is it in the middle of the jungle or something?

Help - I've heard of this. I'm sure Loaded Mag went out there during the 90s and did a report on it. Sounds like the kinda place Mike W would love :evil4:

Johnny, Porto Alegre is in the South. And yes, is too far, even to those who lives in Rio or São Paulo. But I'm still going anyway... about the jungle, don't worry. Here in Brazil we are cutting off all the trees tto not scare de turists. :(

Porto Alegre is a big city and it's in the South. There are 3 things I like about Porto Alegre: the girls are so beautiful there, the girls are so beautiful there and the girls are so beautiful there.

I don't think I'm going because there's no fooking way to travel 1000 km in the middle of the week not being on holidays. I'll be going to any gigs, anywhere in Brazil, if they're going to happen in weekends.

Well you can go from UK to Brazil for 400 quid return. I've seen people paying way more to see them in festivals around the world.

I don't think I will get again some days off work, like I got last year when I went to Manchester. But... I was told that this new venue is really close to the airport. I have checked the flights to Porto Alegre and I can get there in less than 2 hours in a direct flight. I can spent the rest of the night in a nightclub (I have to enjoy the city) and go back to São Paulo in the next day in the first flight. Count me in.
