Yes it is that crap singer Desiree. The song was called life and it is just as shit as the song she did for the Romeo + Juliet Soundtrack :evil4:

But Dylan was very wacked on drugs at this stage in his life so it probably made alot of sense when he wrote it. I don't think you can bag any lyrics written from a drug induced haze, otherwise i have to question "Feelin Groovy" by Simon & Garfunkel for "Hello lamppost, what ya knowin, I've come to watch your flowers growin"

I think you can find crap lyrics everywhere you look, but now i seem to see them a lot more often with these manufacture Girl/Boy Bands. I am amazed that the line from that Shakira chick has not been mentioned.

"lucky that my breasts are small and humble, so you don't confuse them with mountains"

I am very worried about this man who cannot tell the difference between anatomy and geography. That is seriously f#%ked :evil4:

Kiss me Deadly by Lita Ford ... A totally crap, 80s glam/soft rock song !!

Went to a party last Saturday night I didn't get laid, I got in a fight Uh huh, It aint no big thing

Late for work and the traffic was bad I had to borrow ten bucks from my old man uh huh It aint no big thing ...

I picked up this gem this morning while listening to "Oh No (Sentimental Things)" by forum favorites So Solid Crew (long story):

I've been heard now I can fly like a bird now It's occurred now If I'd never been seen never heard now I wouldn't be here now We're up in the air now We're looking down there now So sit on your chair now Don't go anywhere now Romeo's here now Over there now Everywhere now

Gorgeous melody too.

Hmmm from reading that this immediatly springs to mind...

"Well we had a party in our hotel last nightIt ended up in an awful fightMy friend left me and my heart tooI hope I don't end up like you"

Which incidently is a great lyric from a great song!!! :)

Yeah - I know that one: "That Was Then But This Is Now" - absolutely priceless, but from the same album ("Beauty Stab") on the track "Unzip" there's an even better one: "She's Vegetarian except when it comes to sex.../ He's strictly ad-lib except when he consults the text..." I mean, talk about being mealy mouthed and unspeakably crap couplets!!

:nonono:

getting oral sex & the expression mealy mouthed into the same post has to be a 1st.

How could I have forgotten! Consider this cross-posted to the "Absolute Worst and Most Hated Song of All Time" thread:

:violent: WE BUILT THIS CITY (ON ROCK AND ROLL)

Someone's always playing corporation games. Who cares they're always changing corporation names. We just want to dance here but someone stole the stage.

It's just another Sunday in a tired old street. The police have the choke hold and we just lost the beat.

Who counts the money underneath the bar? Who rides the wrecking ball into our guitars? Don't tell us you need us 'cause we're the ship of fools Looking for America crawling through your schools.

STARSHIP !! I remember seeing the movie Mannequin when it came out and listening to 'Nothings Gonna Stop Us Now' non stop for a week. Than its appeal died in the arse afew weeks later and I gave away the record ....

I always tend to think of all those horrid big-hair and new-romantic bands of the 80's for the most cringesomely pompous lyrics ever written:

Duran Duran and Spandau Ballet had some of the worst couplets I've ever heard: "Don't say youre easy on me/You're about as easy as a nuclear war!!" "She rides the soul train/and he fights the law..." "Listening to Marvin...all night long.....this is the sound of my soul!!"

Howard Jones was another one - "Throw off your mental chains - OO - OO - OO!!" - what boo-locks!!

And I always thought Ultravox (with Midge Urgh!) made some of the most pretentious records and videos ever, so you can only guess what their lyrics were like!!
