The Here to Stay Ext Instrumental version I've managed to download from AG is a rather poppling cracking vinyl rip. Do any of you fellow obsessives have a rip straight from the promo CD.

Personally I think it's the best instrumental since the Kiss of Death. Does anybody know if it was the demo version before giving it to the Chem Bros to work on because it feels more NO than the single releases.

And why oh why was it not released officially? Good ol' London Records..again!!!

I have the instrumental on CD 3. I think that it's CD 3. It's the one with the lightest color orange bar. I actually bought all three (imports) from a local store. CD 3 is really the only one you need, as it has the radio edit, the original, the frog and cat remixes, (which are so very slightly different, it's pretty much unnoticeable), the instrumental HTS, and Player. Of course the store didn't have this CD until a few days after I had bought the first two.

Jason, that sounds like the promo, which is like gold dust now in the UK. Looks like I'll be hitting ebay quite a bit. Thanks for the reply.

Could it also be the Australian release of "Here To Stay" ??? The 6-Track CD including the mixes and "Player..."

The instrumental is indeed based on the original version, the very first one that appeared on a couple of rare early get ready versions. It is not the first version minus vocals, since it has that unique break in the middle of the song, but it is based on it.
