Simple - if Hooky doesn't want to be in the band anymore (and he doesn't), then either New Order can carry on without him, or they split up... ![]()
Something just occured to me, but doesn't it seem odd that in the first post about the split Hooky kind of blames Barney( which to be fair in all that has been said in the history of this band, Barney has said these kind of things )...
"When asked if the split was permanent, he added: "Bernard went off for a break with Electronic, but that was different. But it's like the boy who cried wolf this time."
And then in the material from The Guardian it seems that this isn't the case....
Anyway, I'm not trying to beat a dead horse, just seems odd is all....
I am glad I had the opportunity to see them in concert a few times. And saw Electronic with Neil Tennant.
They should at least finish the last album since they have 6 or 7 songs left over. ![]()
So what's the link between Hooky and Perry Farrel? Is that a one-off or will they work together.
Farrel's big in the States, isn't he. Who needs New Order? Hooky's hit the Big Time ![]()

No one's given a toss about Perry in ages. His legacy is one over rated band, one forgettable band, and an alternative rock bonanza that instantaenously verged on self-parody.
Many of us in the states think that the best thing Perry Ferrel could do is make someone a great pet.
Is Farrell still selling records and tickets in great numbers? That Lollapoluza is still going strong?

quite simply, no.
