This is really cool. Should be an awesome song.
Im always looking forward to anything Barney is doing. He is the man.
The myspace link given on there is just some fan page. Here's the official. The music sounds really really awesome. I can't wait to hear the collab.
I know their music very well because of my brother and his music links. This is gonna be ace!
Ain't Meatballs the smart one!![]()
Additional info:
the world premiere of the song will be with pete tong on radio one´s WMC miami special on march 28th....
If it's just barney singing over a trance track, then I can wait, trance is for chavs, but I'll give it a listen just incase.

blank + jones sure sound like every lowest common demoninator trance cliche ... Has Bernard lost ANY sense of taste whatsoever? !
from the songs on the MYSPACE.com page... blank+jones sound kinda bad, kinda really poofy crappy bath house music. Really, really embarassing
Do these guys have any actual respect among the DJ/electronic scene?

I'm going to have to agree 100% here. I couldn't believe it when I read Spotnick's post. If you're into Tiesto, maybe you may like this news, but I don't.
If it was a collaboration with Sasha, that would have been cool. Oakenfold - mildly acceptable, perhaps barely.

Think we better wait till we hear the single. The music on there myspace site is from there Best Of album and partly 10 years old. These Blank & Jones guys did not make any new music since 4 years and I heard some rumors that the single has not much to do with trance music. So looking forward to that.
It's alaways good news, when a new song with Bernie comes out. Can't wait to hear the song. Rumours has it that it is very rock ! I can't wait to hear it at Pete Tong!

I haven't heard of any of Blank and Jones' original songs, but I do have two remixes by them that they did for the Pet Shop Boys. I notably liked their remix of 'Love Comes Quickly', and the remix was actually quite acoustic, and not at all trancey. That being said, I don't think they are the lowest common denominator in the music scene, and there are far worst artists he could collaborate with. I will be looking forward to this, as I've (as well as probably other people on here) been tired of all the talk, and want to see some actual music come out from any one of them.
I personally will be looking forward to hearing this particular song. As for whether I like the song or not, I'll have to judge that after I actually listen to it.
Its not New Order, Sumner throwing a few vocals over some DJ's beats is hardly something to get excited about.
What would have been exciting is if Steve had played/programmed the drums and Hooky had played bass.
Oh... that would be New Order, wouldn't it? ![]()

Hopefully back to making the tea. He'll never be New Order to me.

and showing bernard chords that hurt his small fat hands
Blank & Jones collaborated with Robert Smith a few years ago on a new version of "A Forest." It wasn't too bad.
