If we never hear anything from Warners soon (and that will be within THIS month!): please fire it off! We were suckered long enough by them.

Heck, I'd gladly donate somewhere for these..

It's on the downlow at the moment, but if Rhino doesn't fix the mistakes before A US release of these "remasters", it will become very public.

I'm kinda hoping they don't fix anything - from reading through this thread there's no way they'll release anything anywhere near as good as your project/proposal

Thanks £50 as a lomgtime fan who hasn't bought the 2 disc sets because of the problems I'd love to hear a "proper" version.

I'll buy the US CDs if it is those or DL yours if it isn't.

Good work.

Great restoration job 50 quid ;)

I usually underestimate these things...

Looking foward to hear the final version... in FLAC obviously.

Ps: OK Rock the shack is ass. How about Working Overtime??????????????? Am I the only one in the world who thinks it SUCKS THE MOST?

I've avoided the 7" edits since they can mostly be found on the Singles compilation. I've also skipped many redundant remixes that don't really add anything new.

My versions will not be compressed to hell, sacrificing dynamics for loudness.

I'll also be tackling Republic and Get Ready, the latter of which I'm going to completely overhaul, resequencing the album and bringing it closer to the advance promos the record label sent out.

Again; Warners should have you on the payroll!!!

:thumb:

Dunno how far u are with the work but i sure do hope that i can get my hand on this stuff! bloody excellent :thumb:

Can't wait to hear the final result, count me in:clap:

We didn't hear anything from Warners about the fraud that the remasters are, did we ?! I certainly didn't hear anything from my email to them posted in early October ... Is there anyone out there who send an email and got a reply this month from them ?!

Let's fire this remasters redux-project off tomorrow november 1st.

I hope there's some way to get this for those of us that have been quietly coming to this forum for years. I'd be very interested and unless the US reissues are corrected, I'm not expecting to pick them up.

Umm, no. The fellow who asked that it be fired off on November 1st isn't involved in the project in any way.

It's not going to be finished for a while, so everyone calm down. I've just gone through a wedding, moving, and a promotion at my job. The three of us working on it live in three different cities and two different countries. It's going to take time, because we want it done right. This is a very time and labor-intensive project that will take months to complete.

No matter what anyone in these forums says, it's not ready until you hear it from me. You just have to wait.

Jeb - good point, we waited ages for the warners 'remaster' n they were shit, so we'll wait twice as long if were gonna get the dogs bollocks - :thumb:

And it's worth the wait anyway :thumb: Carry on :thumb: :thumb:

This is actually worth waiting for, since the five European remasters I have make nice coasters now.

Amazing job, £50 Note.

I've just slotted them into my Substance track list and they sound great!

Fascinating about your notes about the restorations, too.

I was wondering how I have missed this thread. The tracklists are much better than Warners. Count me in for an order of the "50 Pound Note Remasters." :thumb:

me too(?). if it happens.

Yes...bump me too, please. I contacted Rhino and they said they were releasing the new discs soon, but they would contact me so they could send replacements.

just come across this thread.

What's the latest news on this project? It sounds like a terrific idea as most record comapny 'redux' efforts are pretty shit - witness the Gary Numan 'Replicas' one for instance.

Best of luck with this. I'd certainly be interested in buying the 1st 3 albums done your way.
