HMV have already taken the money for my pre-order, so I have in fact already paid for it.

Walk On Silver Water
thanks, the clips sound good can't wait to hear the full versions.
Walk On Silver Water sounds great, I wonder why it wasn't on the promo.. This is sure to get me some flogging, but am I the only one who thinks adding Jake Evans to the band was both a bad idea and added nothing worthwhile to the project? I don't know who it is playing those classic rock riffs but they sound out of place. Also, Bernard only let Hooky have two* lead vocals in NO's entire career (and I think Hooky sounds good), and now he's decided to let some nobody with your bland, run of the mill voice sing three full tracks and parts of others?
*I may be wrong, but I think it's just two lead vocals..

To be honest I think he did a great job on all the songs, his band Rambo and Leroy is great also, just check out these songs, very good
Thanks for the links, but heard it before and not really a fan. The worst is Head Into Tomorrow sounds like a mix of the Doves and SOTOG era Oasis, but I suppose it's really not that bad. He's just bland to me, and I don't see why Bernard let him sing. Pete Hook and Johnny Marr never really got to sing. ![]()

Jake sounds pretty good on the song Last One Standing, by Rambo and Leroy, though.

You talk nonsense. Jake's voice, in particular in the duets with Bernard, is superb.
I don't care for the songs where Jake does lead vocals so much...
But his backing vocals to Bernards leads are great and he does some pretty taty guitar work on the record.
Walk on Silver Water sounds really good, reminds me of Get the Message/
Don't really want to download it cos I don't really know what I'm doin, and am gonna buy it anyway. Is there anywhere I can listen to a couple of the tracks. Quite like the sound of Poisonous Intent and Running Out of Luck

Has it been mentioned that the vinyl features 14 tracks, I'm not 100% sure but I think the 7" with the box-set features an acoustic version of "Sink Or Swim" and "Harder Wider Deeper".
Anybody able to confirm? I noticed the myspace details for the box set have changed from 'exclusive 7" featuring two tracks only available in this package' to simply 'exclusive 7"'. Is that because HWD is also on the Japan cd?
Will the Mark Reeder mix be available on some format?

Cheers pal, but that's where I heard the excerpts from, and wanted to hear a couple of them in full. Suppose I'll have to be patient, like in the old days.

It is good that you waited because you will love the cd, I heard it already and love it.

Jezus, that makes me think NCAT is a Rambo & Leroy project, featuring guests vocals from Bernard Sumner.
Rather than a Bernard Sumner led project. :(
I think Bernard was just being lazy. I'm not saying he is always lazy, but I think he wanted to depend on someone else for songwriting/singing/playing for a change. I would have preferred more of a Bernard solo album featuring lots and lots of Steven Morris.
Most of the vocals on the album are handled by Barney, you know. I don't really think it's out of laziness...maybe he truly thought he had a good voice. Bernard has shared vocals in collaborations and side projects before, too.
I have only heard 'Sink or Swim' and will wait for my CD i've BOUGHT before I give my views on this album!
I seem to be in the minority these days with my views on illegal downloading...

I downloaded it because I couldn't wait to listen to it, but when it comes out I will DEFINITELY buy at least 3 copies and the deluxe box set, I have to support me favorite band.

BL are your favourite band? That's amazing, they obviously made a huge impact on you in such a short time :-)
Of course Steve would love it!
I on the other hand think its okay. not great or terrible, just okay. Sorta like a sexual experience with me. Perfectly adequate. One wouldn't mind giving it a go again...at a later date...one wouldn't feel the urge to say no to this.
It'll be fun. plus, we could cuddle afterward's.
