Another thing I notice about some people in general is that sometimes some people arrogantly remark that a musician should retire once they are at a certain age or aren't making top ten hits. If Barney and Hooky and whoever else are making the music they like, then I'm happy. And if I like the music,I'll buy it.
I think sometimes younger fan's attitudes or noob-ish remarks tarnish the image of other younger fans who just simply love the music.

Interesting that Never Cry Another Tear might be a good stoner record... 
But being stoned may help one enjoy the lyrics
I've been out of the loop for the last couple of days... have "These Changes" and "Walk On Silver Water" been heard in their entirety yet? Or "Falling Trees" and "Split The Atom" for that matter?

It was OK, I suppose. I preferred both "Behind Closed Doors" and "Player in the League". Any of them would have improved Get Ready in place of "Slow Jam".
Electronic had a few better than any of those, though -"Second to None", "I Feel Alright" and the incomparable "Free Will".

I found out yesterday that Running Out of Luck sounds a lot like - the really great - Electronic B-side Warning Sign.

I noticed that too. One of the reasons I'm getting the import, aside from the 2 additional tracks.
Wasn't sure about this album on my 1st listen but after a few plays I really like it. Im so pleased I got myself a ticket to go and see them.

It's absolutely true that I'm not as big a fan of New Order as I am a fan of fans of New Order. 
That is very true they complain about everything from the best NO, JD, BL, Monaco to Electronic song to their worst song, just look at the discussions on the new and VERY GOOD BL album.

Just had a go with the album.
At first run, some songs click and some don't. But overall, it's a good record.
I think someone mentioned about how newer fans are expecting a 80s hit. But we oldies here probably know what it took the band to write songs like TF, BM or TPK.
Way I see this, Bernard and gang are probably out of the youth angst. They have families now and they have settled down (sans the Hooky's drama). That ought to affect how you write songs. Gosh, even Moz toned down on his cynical lyrics. Maybe the Cali sun finally got to him.
Then there's younger fans like me who don't really expect another BM or whatever. I just like whatever I like.
Beginning to get excited about this album.
Have resisted temptation to download it - for the first time in ages I'm gonna plonk down cash for a CD.

You will not be dissapointed, it is a very good cd.
Well i've listened to the album and i thought it was very good the first time. Then i listened again and again it just gets better.
I will be definately be buying the CD or maybe even the boxset :)
