Am I the only one upset with this BLACK & WHITE cover sleeve, I could make this myself on the computer, this is so simple with no effort put into it, I was expecting a nice BRITISH type NEW ORDERISH type of colorful artwork like the other NO cd's, I am very VERY very VERY upset at this sleeve, let's hope that it is only a promo cover because if it is the offical cover that it is beyond horrible.No effort was put in this sleeve cover and when people see it in the store thay won't even bother to look at it or pick it up.

The BL logo is good and I am not complaning about that

Please don't say that, the art work SUCKS and it is HORRIBLE, it has no color or nothing, it is just a simple BLACK & WHITE sleeve, NO and anything related to them are known for their artwork but this is beyond BAD it is TERRIBLE, how are they going to market this album with this scribbled artwork, I am surprised that no one is upset besides me on this issue, I wan some nice BRITISH colored artwork.

i am still so confused why someone has an issue with the cover being black and white.

i actually love the cover design. clean, crisp, understated, yet confident, no need for any bullshit.

seems to me to be an odd 30 years later type echoing Unknown Pleasures. just a simple graphic, and some text.

i can see that it isn't everyone's cup of tea, but to HATE IT so much, seems odd to me.

i LOVE the artwork. it just made me do a little dribble.

(graphic reminds me a bit of the seven legged spider that guy tried to pay his bank charges off with though.)

The substance is my least favorite cover sleeve, but I don't hate or dislike it like the BL album cover.The BL album cover is just a simple BLACK & WHITE cover with a scribble on the right, even if it is a black & white cover they could have takes some effort,imagination and time. like this one. but the BL cover looks really bad, it looks like one day STEVE'S daughters dropped by and they probably scribbled something on a piece of paper and they just took that and added to the right side of the sleeve, to make it even worse for me will be if the packaging does not come in a jewel case,I hate the paper cardboard flap case that some cd's have now, it better be a jewel case. To me packaging and the cover sleeve is very IMPORTANT especially with NEW ORDER.

I'd rather NOT have the BL album cover look like that REM cover.

Every one has their own taste, I suppose. I do like minimalistic things in general, though.

I am not saying that it should look like a rem cover also, but at least they used some kind ot time and interest to make a good cover sleeve, I hope the FREEBASE and the leftover's of the WFTSC tracks have a nice colorful album sleeve, not like the Bl which looks like a cheap techno compilation cover.

I guess I am the only one upset about this, especially the scribble on the right hand side, even if the whole cover sleeve was all black with the logo then it would have been allright but nothing amazing.

And, yes, the album cover will be designed by a pupil from Oakwood High School...

"Oakwood High School A Specialist Arts, Technology and Sports College Graphic Art/Album Cover Competition 2009 This competition is open to all special schools nationally. The competition To produce a CD cover design for Bernard Sumner’s (formerly of New Order) band Bad Lieutenant using a combination of dry art mediums i.e. colouring pencils, felt markers and /or pastels. You can also use computer software. If your design is created using a computer you must send a printed colour copy of your final design and your school must keep a copy of the design on a CD. I did not mean anything against the students, especially if they are disadvantaged student's so I am really SORRY about that.
