UK NOOL Christmas Party?

A pub should be fine. There might be 1000 here, but when you consider there's probably only 100 or so posters, and only half of them UK-based, then 20's a good turnout. Like I said, we only managed those sort of numbers when the band themselves were playing!!!
Thanks Al - 'spose you're a bit more realistic than me, and I DO see your point.
I just thought a mail out to all UK members with profiles might be a start.
Oh well, I'll have a proper, logical think about it for a while, then see what can be done.

so what's the latest word on this one kids...we still up for trying to make something happen...although I'm still much keener on trying to make it a New Year's Eve type thing...but that's for my own selfish interests!!!!
I'd be quite happy to move it to New Year - as long as New Order don't play again! (memories of Alexandra Palace come flooding back...)
Like I said though - I just wanted to see if anyone would be interested. I'd be happy to be the nominal organiser, but as many of you on this thread have come up with good suggestions, comments & potential problems, I'm having a think about the best way to poll who'd go along, where to, and how the event should be organised.
I'll keep you posted!

I think New Year's a good idea. I always have a planning something to do, so something already organised would be fab ![]()
That was the end of my two pennies worth. :D

Bearing in mind that only TWO NOOL'ers made the proposed drink-up in London this weekend (and must confess I wasn't one of 'em), you can perhaps see where I was coming from originally. ..
Still, it's a nice thought to be going on with. . .
Who did meet up fer a beer in London then? I send my apologies once more, I am not an organiser, but a lazy drunken git![]()
BUT, if someone else was to organise something fer New Year's Eve or whenever, I guarantee I'll be there fer a beer or two
I've never spent a New Year away from the Family, but with my mam being in Scotland now, I'm up fer a change, and I'm not particularly bothered where it is:D

Johnny G plus Mr & Mrs Mickey Disco-Way. They're 'ardcore.
If I'd known about it, I'd have gone. Oh well...
Looks like there might be nearly ten of us at a Christmas/New Year bash - half way to your possible 20 Al!!

Seriously though, I'll get something arranged/sent out in the next few weeks.
