anyone know if they are going on at 6pm or 7:30pm at Royale in Boston Saturday night? Says 6pm at one spot, and 7:30pm at another.

i'd rather not stand around in the Royale for an hour and a half paying for $14 vodka tonics. :)

I think the doors are opening at six, not sure when they actually start playing.

Keeping my fingers crossed for Ceremony.

They play more than just Unknown Pleasures. Songs like No Love Lost, Warsaw, Digital, LWTUA, Transmission... they've all been regular parts of the setlist. Ceremony has been played at a few of the gigs as an encore.

There are great tribute bands out there. Cheaper ones too.

Usual set list at NYC, except he played Atmosphere! Would have preferred Ceremony instead. They played both during soundcheck, but only the former made it. The DVD documentary kept skipping on the DVD player and they tried several times to get it to work. I wonder if that caused them to nix Ceremony at the end. They had to clear the stage because there was another show in the club right after. The drummer from the Roots who always rocks the fro pick.

I'm going to the Seattle show next Tuesday at the Showbox at the Market. Hope we get both Atmosphere and Ceremony, two of my favorites. :)

Show at Webster Hall in NYC last night was fantastic! It was great not having an opening band- I would rather watch a skipping DVD than a bad opening band :)- The band sounded great! I never thought in a million years I would ever hear any of those Joy Division songs live- Cloud nine!

I saw the show at Webster Hall last night and really enjoyed it. They sounded great. You just can't go wrong with songs like Disorder, She's Lost Control, Transmission, Atmosphere and Love Will Tear Us Apart. Here are a few pictures from the concert: Peter Hook and The Light at Webster Hall

Just got back from the Boston show, really enjoyed it. Lots of energy, especially for the Transmission, LWTUA and Ceremony encore. Hooky came down and spent a good deal of time doing autographs and pictures.

The encore was really intense. I started to worry that I was going to faint from dehydration/exhaustion during LWTUA. Could barely breathe let alone sing at that point.

Got an autograph and picture with Hooky afterwards, which was fantastic. Also, before the show he just casually walked in the front door of the place when people were starting to line up outside. All I could do was stand and stare, not quite believing it was him at first. I kind of walked up to him but had no idea what to say at that point. It was pretty funny when everybody realized what had just happened.

For the record, those in the know would recognise David Sultan as the vocalist on Ceremony who is one of Hooky's best friends and often tours with him.

He also runs worldinmotion.net and Joy Divisions myspace

Hence dont believe everything you read or especially everything tweeted.

First off - last night show is still ringing in my ears - absolutely FANTASTIC! Double Door was packed....possibly sold-out(?), not sure. Vocals and music were sublime, closing out the show with LWTUA was beautiful.
I stood there thinking wow, these songs are about 33 years old, and I've dreamt of seeing the impossible...JD in concert since I was 14 and it finally gave me some level of satisfaction. For all you haters who think Hooky doing this is a bad thing.....screw off! I am on the bandwagon and loved the show immensely. Thanks HOOKY!!!!

I caught the Seattle show last night. I really enjoyed it, good stuff, and Hooky did a much better job as a vocalist than I was expecting.

I will say that it's lame that they asked security to stop people from recording video with little pocket-sized cameras. I still recorded quite a bit but got hassled by security multiple times and when I asked them why (since I've been able to record video with a little camera in that venue before) they said the band didn't want it.

Lighten up Hooky.

You've got nothing to hide, it was a good show.

And I don't want to sound like I'm bitching too much, we got both Atmosphere and Ceremony. It was a very good show. I laughed my ass off when Hooky called out some guy in the crowd and said "You've never stopped talking all fooking night, get your own fooking gig!"

i really hope you enjoyed the shows - we had a great time out there and will be back

RE the pictures/filming issue - it is basically something that just got lost in translation - we have no problem with people filming the show or taking pictures or whatever they wanna do, all hooky wants to do is have equal rights to the footage/pictures as the person who took them does. unfortunately somewhere along the line this ended up in "dont take pictures or film anything" posters which by the time we got to seattle we were actually ripping off the walls ourselves. so sorry about that one.

i thought the LA gig was pretty good to be fair... and the curfew is nothing to do with us.

Had such a great time at the Boston show, Jack! There was a lot of energy in the audience, I was so out of breath during the encore that I could barely sing along. It was an awesome night, and thank you for bringing the show to us.
