My first introduction to MWP was when he was the guitarist for All About Eve. He did two really good albums with them which led to me to investigate The Church. I didnt know hed done some solo stuff, I'll have to have a look for it.

Another thread on this board says that the Fibbers, York gig on the 11th of this month is cancelled as well. ![]()
Fibbers is being rescheduled at a later date. No pun intended.
The tour in February is not happening really gutted but hope it will be rescheduled for another time. Hopefully the dates for February will get rescheduled like Fibbers.
Just bought tickets for Caen (France) on the 11th of March!
I can't believe my own eyes! It makes my day / week / year!!
If anyone from England up there is interested to come over, there's a direct ferry from Porsmouth (and maybe Southampton) to Ouistreham, which is 30mn North of Caen. Big Band Cafe is a very friendly, and quite small, venue on the outskirts of Caen. Mogwai is next there on the 25th!
Knock yourself out gentlemen!
BBC Caen
See you there Jack
I do hope that what happen to the February tour will not strike the March leg!...

EYEBALLS: You’ve been very busy this year. What else is on tap for 2011?
HOOK: I’m already doing a tour of Germany in January. We’re doing a Brazilian and Mexican tour in February, March we’re going to do some Irish dates — and then I’m going to have a week off in April! It’s all good, isn’t it? It’s quite nice, actually. I never realized how well-received playing Unknown Pleasures would be. All of the peoples we played to, everybody seems to be able to relate to it, which I was worried about. I was worried people wouldn’t relate to it because it was done in a different fashion in a different time. I think it’s a great compliment to the other members of Joy Division that people still love those songs so much. Some guy came up to me in Auckland the other day. He said, “Thanks, man, I never thought I’d get to hear those songs live.” And that’s something I took for granted. It’s nice when people say things like that.
any other info about that? cities?

I really want to go to the NYC show at Webster Hall tomorrow night, but simply don't have the cash. Because I live in New York City, where taking a piss costs $$$.
At any rate, for those who do go, I hope it's awesome! Webster Hall has a party in the Studio room tomorrow night called TRASH (it's every Friday) that plays a lot of great Post Punk music (and lots of New Order as well. I'll be there after the show for sure. I'm hoping I might magically come up with some extra cash to go see Hooky and co.
Webster Hall is also just a few blocks away from the Ukranian National Home, where the New Order 1981 Taras Schevanko concert was filmed.
Hello, everyone, im on a mission at the moment, i have sent a few of you pms already, and trying to see if its possible to obtain a t-shirt im just trying my luck on this one. i went to the peter hook gig last night in DC and saw a tour shirt i really wanted, they only take cash which im not sure if that is for all venues but because of that, i wasnt able to purchase it immediately and had to find an atm, but when i decided to go buy it, which was still before the show started, it was sold out. It was a white shirt with the unknown pleasures wave on it with font right under it reading "manchester, england" and on the back it had large font reading "The Light" and the US dates printed under it. All of the font was in black and printed on a white shirt. And since most of you in here or anyone else reading this is planning on going to a peter hook show, i wanted to try my luck and see if anyone in here would be willing to do me a favor and buy that shirt for me and i would of course give you the money back and pay for the shipping. If you have paypal i would send the money through there so it would be i guess less "shady" for dealing with a random person lol. You would be secured through there. Like i said i really just want the shirt and just seeing if someone would help me out. Any help would be appreciated! you can pm me or send me an email at:
