next to LWTUA, Disorder is my favorite JD song. it's fucking incredible; brilliantly written and produced.
LWTUA is too obviously their best song, but I picked "Isolation" because that's the one that always gets stuck in my head and, in the live version especially, I love the passion in the song. The way the synths build up after every refrain of "Isolation!" is terrifying and satisfying at the same time.
Sorry, but it's LWTUA for me. Never gets old and my band are performing it in just under two months.
No words at all, just my top ten:
1- Isolation 2- She's Lost Control (Substance Version) 3- Digital 4- Heart And Soul 5- Transmission 6- Passover 7- Decades 8- Walked In Line 9- Dead Souls 10- Ice Age
Love Will Tear Us Apart sounds like a mesterpiece, something "hors concours".
No Love Lost
The Warsaw version. Guess my vote is diqualified them but I love the older longer version.
LWTUA has brillant production and the vocals well breathtaking a lot of time was spent on that single as well as ATMOSPHERE but DISORDER brillant especially the end
Shadowplay, with Heart & Soul a close second.
Something about the gee-tars on Shadowplay that just do it for me every time :)

i absolutely LOVE Colony. post-punk at its finest.

Totally agree with your first choice here: "These Days" is an sadly overlooked gem! Those synth-sounds are still amazing. And the way Ian sings on this one still gives me the shivers. And what about this solo!!!

Just voted for "These Days". Great Song. ![]()
The one song that gives me goosebumps every single time is Disorder, specifically the version on Still - the last 20 seconds seem like a final scream into the void. Untouchable.
i went for digital here (flipped a coin w/ decades). funny one's the final song they played live while the other is the last song ontheir final studio release. leaders of men, passover, heart and soul, disorder, dead souls, atmosphere: they're all top-notch. can't remember the last time i wanted to hear lwtua, though.

Well, no... you're totally right and it's a shame that we can't vote for 'Means to an end'. The drum part is fantastic, as is the tension built up by the vocals of Ian and the bass. Bernard put down some interesting guitar work too. A classic.
I thought I voted on this before but I think "Heart & Soul" is my fave. Love the drumming and the lyrics. Very haunting. "Shadowplay" is another great one that has become one of my recent faves. The guitaring is just amazing. :D
All their songs are extremely good, but Shadowplay, in my opinion , is the best one. Every time that I listen to this song is like the first time, 12 years ago.
Hi Mauricio
Welcome mate ![]()
This guy is my cousin :D His brother is the one who introduced me New Order about 15 years ago.
I vote Transmission, because it simply is the best. Although the lack of 'Insight' and 'Disorder' baffles me...
