I would be interested at the time, if it came with yet another unreleased tracks. The regular shaped 7" was enough for me

When you say 'radio edits of all the album tracks', are you just referring to the singles, or were there radio edits for every track? As far as I knew, there were radios edits of Restless, Singularity and Tutti Frutti, plus two radio edits of POTHL (Claptone & Richard X).

Are there any others?

Well, like i said, all the album tracks.God you're a doubting Thomas at times aren't you.All the album tracks have a couple of minutes or more chopped out.Some more expertly done than others.In places some tracks just jump from one part to another.Other sections are done better or even rearranged a little.I suppose anyone who knows how do it could do it if they have the right software or something.No idea who did the edits.Think i only ever listened to it once or twice, will have to give it another spin.I'll send it to you

Probably, but keep your hair on! I was just seeking clarification.

To be fair, I've never heard of radio edits of the non-album tracks and you didn't mention where these were featured.

It just seemed odd to me that they would do radio edits of every track. Hence my question. I just wondered if you made a typo (I do loads). That seemed (to me) more likely than the band doing radio edits for every single track (especially when I hadn't previously even heard of these).

Well I get the feeling the band had nothing to do with it but of course I can’t say for sure . I’m assuming they were done by someone in their bedroom who knows how to edit tracks using some sort of programme ? I think I must have stumbled across them on Soulseek, can’t remember for sure now.Anyway I’ve uploaded it to that Shared Drive. I think. I may have just shared it with myself, who knows! 😄 Give us a shout if it’s not in there.

uncut picture discs are just that, they don't have any different tracks. they are the full size (usually round), before they get cut into smaller or different shapes.

people in the US (maybe in other countries?) can get all the STEMS here, and just disable the vocals.

i had a few threads:

  1. the extended instrumentals
  2. the album edit instrumentals recreated because they were available for licensing, but no one could get them.

Oh, another one i forgot I even had.The Qwest 12” of True Faith. The 2 Pettibone remixes and 1963. Though one of the Pettibone remixes is named Alternate Faith Dub. Is that the same as the one on the UK remix 12” but just a different title ? Can’t remember now without giving it a spin. No idea where or when I obtained this.

It's had plenty of discussion in the past... Personally I prefer his single (remix) version. Having said that, I was a big fan of all the "Nu Skool Breaks" dance stuff that was around back then. Including Lee Coombs stuff. I like the whole album (pronounced Break fast... as in "Breaks" music)

Coombs also did yet another remix of the track about a year after the song was released. But that remix only ever got played in a DJ set he did for BBC Radio 1. I guess he still had the parts and used that (2003) remix as bait to make us listen to his DJ mix for the BBC.

*EDIT* I mentioned it here post #42 on p2 I *did* have a radio rip of it on my hard drive, but eh, that hard drive has since died...

Well, thinking about it, it was reasonably similar to the Breakfast of Champions (BOC) mix that came out in 2004. So I guess it could be callled an early version of the BOC mix.

I had one of those, subway size and all. Got mine at university in the 90s. Died of overuse a few years later.

One that has survived is my subway "Temptation" Ally Pally NYE 1999 poster.

Slightly less cool but certainly more unique was a huge London Records 3D foam display for "Republic" that I annoyed 78s Records in Perth into giving me in 1993. The street gymnastics it took for me to get that miles down the road into a truck in one piece in high velocity Perth winds should've won me some fan award.

It was quite the party piece until someone drunkenly bowled into it in 1996. Kind of fitting maybe. Wish I at least had a damn photo of it now.

Posters, yes I had a few back in the 80s but one reason and another they’re now all long gone. Guess the idea of having posters on my wall was something I grew out of. I had that Factus 8 one, it covered almost ceiling height to floor on my bedroom wall at the house I grew up in. Also even had Thieves Like Us one. And one with 1981 era photos of the 4 band members. Also had a massive one of the Low Life cover. Oh and a Perfect Kiss one( with a kind of a theme based on the video). Slightly annoying I no longer have any of them.

Edit: The Perfect Kiss poster was something like this , though from Googling, there’s a few variations on it

Yeah, had LowLife, Electronic and that Benelux poster up, but it's a bit adolescent innit? 'They're me favourite band!'
