I've received mail asking be, well, Isolation, but to ask them to release the Live at Jools Holland too.
I wonder if the BBC has the right to package all the TV apparences on a DVD and to sell it ;) So every TOTP, Later or TGIF appearances on a DVD would have some interest...
We already have the Blue Monday & Regret one on NewOrderStory.. so why not the others.. maybe they don't want us to see them doing lipsynch too much?

Two absolutely superb sessions, listen to them quite regularly, and every time I listen to Peel 98 it brings back many happy memories from all the brilliant gigs from 98, as is the same with Steve Lamacq and all the gigs we got to last year.

Actually, these tracks are from Richard Skinner's "Saturday Live" radio show that was broadcasted simultaneously on the TV (someone in UK correct me if I'm wrong).
This rendition of "Temptation" is the best live version I've heard in my life. Someone already said this before (either Major or Tabsy) and I totally agree.

Yes, but it turned out to be the Joy Division BBC and the New Order Glastonbury 1987 concer instead (Before & After was the title of that double CD album)

I am really excited about this potencial release, especailly video on dvd. I wanted to add that New Order also appeared on Old Grey Whistle Test in the mid 80's and that is another BBC production.
I would love to hear any details about this performance.

Twas me that said that version of Temptation was my all time favourite version of my all time favourite song
StevieD... Whistle Test was shown in December 85 over here, it featured 2 tracks (As It Is When It Was & Sunrise) recorded from the Hacienda, these versions of these songs are possibly my favourite versions as well

I've said it plenty of times, the '84 Temptation is by far the best live rendition (not that I've ever heard a crap version of it live, but it tands out in my mind as the best). Therefore I voted for Temptin' Temptation....

Actually, I really like the Riverside version of Temptation from January 1982. It's effectively a live performance of the 7" version and therefore pretty unique. This was also on the BBC, so another one for the DVD.

Wow you've just reminded me - I think I still have an old VHS of that gig - it was in a studio at BBC Broadcasting House if I remember correctly. I seem to recall it featured a beautiful rendition of "Sooner Than You Think", and on "Blue Monday" Barney changed the words to "I still find it so hard, to stay in tune with you - but I'm quite sure that you'll tell me, what the f*ck we should do.."
I must dig that out, although it will be poor quality mono sound :-(

Anyone know if there's ever likely to be a chance of "neworderstory" coming out on DVD? I see "24 Hour Party People" is out (at last!) on 27.01.03

Interesting reading through these sig's - just clocked my mate Scotty who hasn't done a gig since 89 and has only just returned to Blighty after 6 years in Espagne. Wonder which forums he's reading?
And one Gary Wake who used to do gigs with the likes of Mawhinney & Co., and even bothered with stuff like the East Coast tour of 86, when you really didn't need to bother doing the East Coast tour of 86 if you were a Brit. Nice to see these people still have an interest.. .

Well, I sent it to the Spanish New Order mailing list, he might have got it from there. If that's the case he's never contributed anything though.
Due to the fact that the petition is no longer increasing, I have submitted the petition to Stange Fruit.
Unfortunatly, my contact there is out of the office until January 2nd, so I forwared it to her assistant, we'll see what happens, but I doubt we'll have news about it before the beginning of next year.

I was looking after this for a few years for a mate, don't ask me why I never copied it. After I returned it to him, his parents taped over it, ironically with a programme called State of the Nation.
Great version of Temptation. My copy of Riverside is knackered, really poor quality recording from the TV.
I forgot to mention I also posted the poll on q4music.com and mojo4music.com a few weeks back.
