  1. Play the version of 1963 from substance
  2. At the very end as the music fades out (the VERY end), turn the volume up to max.
  3. Listen

Now, isn`t that wierd as fuck!!!

Comments please...

If you're fucking with me and I listen to 1963 over and and over and there's nothing there, I'm going to be pissed.

I think you're gonna have to be fairly pissed to attempt this. Are the drugs kicking in yet??;)

Trust me - the last few seconds, you can hardly even hear it

The CD version should be easier to hear obviously - it sounds like it is changing to a different song

Facsimile I shot this bastard on this morning and cranked the last 10 seconds or so up to 50 in my bomber - not a fucking sausage.

It is literally the last seconds, and you need it VERY loud!!

I've got an amp at home that could take a man's head off via bass tones alone. I'll attempt one more listen, with 1963 piped through the aformentioned system (any excuse to anatagonise the next doors dog 'Gypsy') ... however, the Huntsman does now have his suspicions that perchance you are blowing a Facsy lark you cheeky little minkter.

I discovered this years ago, and I thought as soon as I mentioned it, somebody could explain it away... Could I, Fac21, have discovered a new part of NewOrder history?

Tried it this morning, fuck all there that I could hear anyway. Mind you, my ears are still ringing from last night! Doubts Even Here mate.

I mean it!!! I AM NOT MAD*

The song changes completely at the end: The beat changes/skips... You can hear a sort of strange humming at the end...

I Am NoT mAD!

Yes, The Factory Boy is right, there is something there but it just sounds like whoever done the final mix left one of the ingriedients running a little longer than was necessary. But for fuck sake Fac lad, what inspired you to have the amp that loud, and believe me boys it needs to be 'crack a wall' loud! :smoking:

are you using disc 2 of substance as your source? i'll try it on headphones at once!

on a related note, i've always thought neworder have relied on the long fade out rather than interesting endings...perhaps this 1963 situation is a result of an improper fade-out. i seem to recall Liv being very fond of 1963. maybe she has information....

I've listened to it and I'm afraid Facsy is RIGHT!

What I hear is not a "different song" as he states, but rather Hooky going "Aaaaaaah yeeeeeeee" or something like that.

I listed to it with headphones...

Seb.

Well them smart arses - do any of you remember all those unfounded accusations of Nazi-ism that followed New Order and their sleeve designs round like a bad smell in them early days? If you listen to the second mix of "Confusion" (the original Fac 93 12" EP) on the a-side halfway through but playing the disc backwards, you can make out the sound of an irate Arthur Baker groaning: "This shit isn't fuckin' happenin' guys - junk the mix", only for Barney to yell back in a split second "Fuck Off, Jew!!" (which coincidentally explains the similar oft-denied rumour that the coded sleeve of said 12" also read "F.O.JEW"). Honestly! Try it!!

Hey Folks!! here's another goodie! Any PRINCE appreciators out there? I asy this because if you listen to the drum machine intro of the original 1987 version of "1963" and then play the opening bars of "It" from the squiggly little MFs classic epic "Sign 'o' The Times" LP, you will be pleasantly shocked.....go figure!!!
