Hard Rock Cafe Manchester present an 'up close and personal' gig with‘ Hooky ’ and ‘ Pottsy ’

David Potts and Peter Hook have confirmed that they’ll be sharing a stage for the first time in 7 years. As post-Revenge duo Monaco, ‘Hooky’ and ‘Pottsy’ sold a million albums worldwide in the late ‘90s and created the chart hit ‘What Do You Want From Me’ combining instantly memorable pop sha’la’las with the trademark New Order bass sound.

All ticket monies going direct to the Nordoff-Robbins music therapy charity.

Why do you think its brilliant? it doesnt have any bearing on you whatsoever, for the following reasons.

1- You Live in New Zealand

2- If you lived in the flats next to the Hard Rock Cafe, you probably wouldnt go anyway.

Are they actually playing as "Hooky and Pottsy"? Sounds a bit like a couple of 1950's greaser rejects or a 1970's singer-songwriter duo doing the casino rounds.

1- Hooky was in NZ not so long ago.

2- Life's a bit more complex when you've got kids; gigs are no longer your number one priority.

And more importantly it's brilliant because like I said... maybe this is a sign that Monaco could reform ang maybe even write new material if Freebass falls flat on it's arse.

gigs werent your priority before! In fact, you never even mentioned having kids when you (repeatedly, might I add) explained why you didnt enjoy going to see New Order live.

It's not that i don't enjoy seeing NO, it's just that it's not my no.1 priority in life.

Cheers Craig. It looks like a good crowd will be there and I'll be finally seeing Hooky and Pottsy gigging together as I missed out on their Revenge/Monaco gigs in the '90's and because of work :banghead: can't make it to Manchester for V's Cancer. Roll on the 21st cheers!
