Not at all, I actually found easy to understand the people of Northern England, maybe because they pronounce some words as us Italians would do, "man", "cup" and similar words are the best examples... I find it hard to follow London cockney because they play with vowels a lot. But Americans... well, I frankly don't like that soft accent... I adore the Scottish hard accent... for example "tomorrroh" :) And of course Jamaicans are very easy to understand because they just speak like Italians. The problem with Americans is they sound like chewing all the words, so they're not that easy... Anyway I'm thinking at stuff I see on TV programs, actually I find actors like Al Pacino have a good accent. But my favourite way to hear English will always be someone from Manchester, Liverpool or Glasgow (Irish people are OK too), or the BBC, they still have a nice way to speak there... much more than the fookin CNN, and don't even mention Fox... ;)

The weird thing is every time the "E Mail replies" box below the text area in the editor now is unchecked, though it seems I'm subscribed anyway... it just looks like it doesn't memorize my previous choice anymore...
Don't you have language menus on your DVDs? Anyway I have no problem following the subtitles AND the scene, I usually watch the movie and look at the text only if I can't get some word, but I can also follow both, or just have a quick look at the text and then follow the scene...

Of course, all DVD released here features french & english audio tracks, and french/english/spanish subtitles.
Most of them dubbed in Quebec, we still have to live with a few from France

an alternative way to read is to use a RSS software. The one I tried (free) is not that great: The new threads are in bold but you can't see when an old thread includes new posts. Anyone use a better software than mine ?

*I think DeepNet Explorer is a good newsreader, if you turn off the browser and the P2P client. But how can you follow the forum through RSS? I think you can only get the news from the front page...

On the new forum that became quickly the old one there was an orange "RSS" link
