Better comedy?: Monty Python or SNL

I agree. I am voting for SNL. It's been around so bloody long that if you take it's best, I think it's better than Monty Pythons best. If you look at SNL overall though, it has some stinker periods that could definitely allow me to vote for Monty. So it does depend on the era and how you wish to compare the two, then.

SNL has had its moments, but MPFC had far more of them in a far shorter time. So, my vote goes to MPFC although I am probably one of the more regular SNL watchers that posts on this board.

SNL is far too hit-and-miss (and sadly, mostly miss) to beat out the genious of Python.

Monty Python was short and sweet in how long it lasted compared to SNL. Quality over quantity.

SNL has 30+ years under its belt now?

That said, it did have its eras. It doesn't beat MP though.
