If it came down to a choice between Movement or Republic, I'd go with Republic anyday. Any record with songs the calibre of Regret, Ruined in a day, Everyone everywhere, Special and Avalanche is something to be envied, not consigned to the "worst album" heap I for one really like Hauge's input; it's hard to knock a guy who was responsible for bringing about the band's signature tunes like True Faith, 1963, Regret etc. He was also responsible for the finest versions of Bizarre Love Triangle (Married To The Mob/94) and Round & round (Seven inch/Twelve inch) in my opinion.
I voted for Movement as I find it instantly forgettable beyond Dreams Never End and it's the only album (despite religious listens to all of them) which I have trouble linking the song titles to the music. It's just not memorable, the song ideas seem half formed and just not there. The band can obviously be forgiven for the difficult circumstances surrounding the recording; the death of their singer and friend etc. but even Mr Sumner agrees as he said in a 1998 interview he was so disappointed with Movement he doesn't even own a copy 
I consider the 1981-82 FEP the true New Order debut; the first record where they didn't sound like a third-rate Joy Division and had a bit of confidence about what they were doing. They became a band looking to the future rather than emulating JD's dark drone on Movement.

I would like to change my vote from Republic to Get Ready, although that's not allowed. Republic isn't great (by NO standards), but it has several winners on it. Get Ready has one classic track (Crystal) and a few good ones (Primitive Notion, etc.), but doesn't jell as well as an album.

No, I think you need a reality check.
People are bound to have different opinions to yours. What you may think is a brilliant album may be unlistenable shite to someone else.
E.g. I think Master Of Reality is the best Sabbath album ever made, but two mate so mine disagree completely. One even hates the album. To me, that's fair enough. They can think for themselves.
I'm sad to see that Republic is winning this, cos it's Movement for me, whilst I love Republic. Not a total surprise though.
Ironically, one of my all-time fave albums is also one of my not-so-faves at the moment. Not naming names though.
