Unless there's gross misconduct of Iain Dowie like proportions or he gets a better offer I think it's unlikely the Charlton board will want rid of him - Premiership and Championship managerial experience (which I'm sure we'll need next season) and one of our former players...what more could you want?

Obviously I'm referring to the manager rather than the position of the team...but if Super Al had been available in the summer and the team had played with the same commitment they've shown for the last two matches then I think we'd be sitting in a mid table position now. But if we do go down then we have a manager with the experience of getting promotion from the fizzy pop league...a bit like West Ham with Curbishley if this afternoon's result is anything to go by!
